Luther was picked up as a stray in one of the surrounding counties. He was heart worm positive and had a mast cell tumor on his side. He has been treated for the heart worms and the tumor was totally removed. Our sweet energetic boy is now looking for his furever home. Luther loves to play and go on walks. His best bud is Huck and they play in the yard until they drop and then they play some more. They would love to be adopted together but that is not a requirement. He would love to be your TV buddy also. He walks well on a leash and is learning to be a dog. He needs more training but that should be a lifelong adventure. Hunter is a sweet boy who is an estimated 7 years old. He has lived with my family for the past 5 years and been an absolute joy. He was originally rescued from a shelter in northern Virginia. Hunter has a big personality and never fails to brighten everyone’s day. He loves people, other dogs, and is good with cats. While he has experience living with young children, he would do best in a household with older kiddos. Hunter enjoys walks, the dog park, and cuddling (big ol lap dog). I hope to find him an amazing forever home where he can thrive and live his best life ❤️

Chestnut is a sweet girl. Im in the navy and my wifes a full time nursing student. To top ot off we have a 2 year old. Chestnut is very playful and not aggressive in the slightest and great with our toddler. She mostly does well going pee and poop outside with occasional accidents. However , with my wife in Nursing school and myself gone in the navy so much with a very high possibility for orders out of country we just cannot give her the time and attention she deserves . This she has to kept in a kennel more than we would like. She needs an owner that can meet her energy level and afford the time to properly train her. She is a super loving dog. She deserves better than we can provodide.

Thanks to them advocating for his new beginning worked and here he is! He is go with the flow and enjoys the company of others (humans and dogs) He ignored the cats for his cat test, did gently paw one to try to play. Was calm around them and not focused in on the cats and willingly left the area of the cats. We are still getting to know Morton but he would love a fenced yard to enjoy all the sniffs and stretch his legs. He is a very special boy. He went unclaimed for his stray hold and thanks to a supporter we put him in boarding as we had no space for him. Truman is now with a foster (Thanks Diana!) And we have learned so much about him. He loves the pet life, likes to play chase with the other dog in the home and also likes to relax and find a comfy spot. He is very friendly and down to earth. A total sweet soul. Our bouncy Ben was picked up by a local animal control. He was very thin, heart worm positive, and had intestinal parasites. All of that is behind him now as he has completed treatment for all and is ready to find his forever home. We really should have named him Tigger as he bounces every where he goes. He loves to play and also can be a snuggler when he has gotten his energy out. We don't know how he is with cats as he hasn't been around them. Ben knows sit and down and is eager to learn more. He would like a family who will continue with training, and include him in their adventures, keeping in mind that he is a hound and must always be leashed when out because he likes to follow his nose. He would be a great walking, running, hiking buddy.
