Buddy was surrendered because his brother didn't like him.  Rainbow was asked to help this sweet boy so he could get started on his heart worm treatment before it was too late.  He is one of the sweetest and most laid back hounds we have ever saved.  Buddy gets along with dogs, cats, and kids.  If you want a loving, chilled boy, that is Buddy.  Before he started his treatment, he loved walks and riding.  He just wants to be around his family.  April 22 is the date he is finally free to be a dog again after 3 months of crate rest while recovering from treatment. Meet sweet Holly! Holly’s age is estimated at 1 to 4 yrs old. She is a petite girl weighing only 38.5 lbs. She currently shares her foster home with a Chihuahua and is very gentle with her. Holly is new to us but we do know she enjoys her walks and is almost completely housebroken! She is gentle, sweet and kind. This handsome guy is Bo. Bo is a big talker who hasn't discovered his inside voice. Because of this, we are requiring he go to a home with no shared walls (no apartments, condos, or townhomes), since not everyone appreciates Bo's loud, deep bays. Bo is looking for a home with no children under the age of 6 because he can be a touch nervous and overexcited. Once he's warmed up to you, Bo is as goofy and loving as you'd expect a hound to be. He absolutely adores rump rubs and will lean up against you to demand even more attention. Bo can be selective with his canine friends, so an introduction with any resident dogs is required. Meet Walker! He came into the 4 PAWS family in May 2020; emaciated, heartworm positive and had several wounds. Walker has made a complete transformation! He is a sweet 7-year-old, 74lb silly boy who is good with kids and other dogs but hasn’t been cat tested. Walker was treated for heartworm and has tested negative. This breed mix can be high energy and very smart which means he will require exercise (mentally and physically). He will also need a 6ft fence with plenty of area to run. His new family needs to be committed to daily exercise, continued training, and socialization. Basil is a very shy and reserved girl, but with a bit of patience she will try her best every day to open up to you! She is always very gentle with people, dogs, and cats. Being around other calm dogs seems to give her a confidence boost, especially when seeing them interact with people and their environment. Basil can usually be found curled up on her bed in her "safe space," but she's slowly been venturing out on her own and interacting with the rest of foster family as she gets more comfortable with us. She would do best in a quiet household that can give her the time, space, and love she needs to help build her confidence! she is still learning how to walk on a leash. This handsome man is Copper! He is one half of a stunning bonded pair. Copper is the shyer of the two. Copper's brother Roscoe was originally adopted from us. He was surrendered to one of our many transfer partners with his brother Copper. Well of course we immediately took Roscoe back and we couldn't leave his beloved brother behind. They are both amazing dogs. As they have lived with and get along with other dogs, cats ,and even little children. What more could you ask for??? How about this? They are both said to be potty, crate and leashed trained. These boys have great manners. They also know several commands and they are both extremely treat motivated. We realize it is a lot to ask to keep these boys together but we are committed to doing just that. Smokie and her sister Alloy were surrendered to us due to some very tragic life circumstances. The two girls are Beagle/Boston's and they have been together since birth. Smokie is the sweeter of the two. She stands in her sister's shadow. she loves to snuggle and enjoy a nap on your lap. Both girls have lived with and get along with other dogs, cats and children. Since they have been with us, they have been treated for some skin issues and they look great now.
