She is VERY agile, would potentially make a great sporting prospect or definitely running partner/scent work. She loves to show she is built for sporting by sailing over our 6ft privacy fence with ease. Thankfully after she showed how cool that is, she hung around awaiting to be let back in. A strand of electric fence has kept her in. She loves to play and tosses toys in the air to play with. Very entertaining and sweet. Thankfully CCRT was asked to assist and we trapped her during a snow storm. She was quite the survivor on her own. Pinto is very shutdown. She handles well but alligator rolls on a leash still and is uncomfortable with handling. She is not reactive just shuts down. She adores other dogs and loved her freedom at CCRT of being in a kennel or 24/7 access to a play yard. She will need a very patient and educated home to allow her proper decompression and socialization Pinto Bean has scored a great foster home in NY but still not brave enough to interact with the family and new surroundings yet.

She was picked up by the shelter extremely emaciated (24 pounds) and lethargic. Thankfully CCRT had the means to help. Trudy (meaning beloved warrior) and Anne in honor of a shelter worker who was directly involved getting her to safety, is now LOVING life. She has been wonderful around all the other dogs she has met, could careless about the cats on her cat test, and very gentle around my 3 year old son. Trudy Anne did have 4 mammary masses removed during her spay that our vet determined to be cancerous. We of course have been monitoring for any signs or symptoms but Trudy Anne seems to be improving from her terrible body condition she arrived in. She deserves a loving family, a warm bed, and a couch to lounge on

He is a wonderfully loyal companion who has traveled to and from Japan and loves going for walks. Unfortunately, we are looking to rehome him because he doesn't get along with our children (5 years and 9 months old).Goji is:• An American Foxhound mix• Housetrained (only one accident as a puppy)• Fine with some dogs, but dislikes poodles and golden retrievers• A loyal companion who loves walksGoji has never lived with another dog and only lived with a cat for a short time as a puppy. He does have some food aggression, which we've found typical for the breed. We would not recommend him for a home with young children. It's no secret we have some hounds at our Shelter - over the years we have probably had hundreds of them. Currently, we have five of them - four males and then the darling of them all, our Bee.Bee's light shines so brightly - and yet she is a bit of an enigma. She was found as a stray by Sussex and made her way to us. We aren't sure what happened in her previous life, but she is very cautious when meeting new people. Not playing hard to get, not shy, just wants to check it out before letting her guard down.Her best buddy, Benny, gets it. He came in with her and has cracked the code. Some of our volunteers get it as well - slow and steady wins the race.Bee is gentle and loving. We also see glimpses of playfulness and whimsy. She is three-years-old and heartworm positive but has already started her treatment - and that treatment is fully covered by AAS, even when adopted.To any of our previous hound adopters, you know that feeling you get the moment your timid hound fully puts their trust in you and lets their guard down? That's what awaits the lucky person who adopts Bee. At around 7 years old and 50 pounds, Budgie has found the perfect balance between playful and relaxed. She still gets the occasional burst of excitement; those long hound legs can get a little bouncy when she's happy, but she settles down quickly and is just as content spending the afternoon curled up beside you for belly rubs or napping under a shady tree.
