Story
Gigi is a super sweet Frenchie. She prefers AC/Cold weather and short walks. Loves to play inside and do zooms. She is a cuddle and super cool girl! Very smart too! We rescued her from a breeder that decided he was overwhelmed and really couldn't handle so many moms, dads and pups. For consideration please be over 26 in NY and NJ (25 miles from NYC), only have kids 8 or over . WE do not ship dogs that are for adoption out of the areas we noted. Have a home with lots of dog runs, parks or fenced in yard. Have a visible IG account when we ask for it please. Be active for puppies no couch potatoes! Thank you. Most of all please follow step below and do not call us we are volunteers! Please note we DO NOT adopt in the Bronx nor Staten Island. We have trainers in Brooklyn, LIC, Astoria, Manhattan, LI, NJ ,and CT 20 miles from Greenwich. Kids `10 and up. She is good with all kids but we prefer older to continue her basic training. We do not ship dogs out of state! dogs will be adopted locally so they can see each other. Step 1, Email us suekmwdadoptions@gmail.com and tell us your experience with dogs and where u live, if you don't write a paragraph we will not reply as we don't send blind apps out. 2) If we need more info, we will send u an application 3) DO NOT CALL US 4) DO NOT EMAIL US at our website. We get hundreds of people interested in adopting our dogs and can not possibly get back to everyone. Thank you for your cooperation. Please note we are volunteers, we work with patients and can not take calls. Again email us only at the supplied. Thank you.

Story
Rescued from a municipal shelter in Georgia, Dewey is a happy, tail-wagging girl with so much love to give. She’s playful, affectionate, and gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and her people. Dewey may be a little shy when meeting new faces, but give her a moment and you’ll quickly see her sweet, loyal personality shine through. She’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and will be your biggest fan once she feels safe. Dewey is ready for a forever home where she can be cherished, spoiled, and loved for the rest of her days. If you’re looking for a gentle, joyful companion, Dewey might just be your perfect match. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Teddy – A Gentle Soul Ready for Love Teddy (GA) is a 2-year-old French Bulldog with the kindest eyes and the sweetest heart. Rescued from a shelter, Teddy has already endured more than most pups should — a history of untreated ear infections has left him with painful growths in both ears, and he’s now awaiting surgery to help him heal. We’re still learning whether Teddy is deaf or if his upcoming procedure will affect his hearing, but one thing is certain: he hears love loud and clear. Despite his medical challenges, Teddy is a total sweetheart. He is great with people, cats and other dogs. Teddy greets every human with quiet affection and leans into gentle pets like he’s been waiting his whole life for them. His resilience is inspiring, and his calm, loving nature makes him a perfect companion for someone who can offer patience, kindness, and a safe place to land. Teddy deserves a home where he’ll be cherished — not in spite of his past, but because of the brave little dog he’s become. If you’re ready to open your heart to a pup who will fill it with gratitude and unconditional love, Teddy is waiting. Apply to adopt Teddy (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.orgPlease also be sure to reference this pet's name as Teddy (GA) in case of duplicate names within the rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Poe (GA), the little French Bulldog mix with the big personality and the even bigger comeback story. At about three years old, he’s already mastered the art of resilience, charm, and comedic timing. When he first landed in the shelter, he was skinny, a bit down on his luck, and dealing with a minor prolapse—nothing our vet isn’t already fixing up so he’ll be feeling like a brandnew gentleman in no time. Poe has decided that this is his renaissance era, and he’s leaning into it with gusto. He’s the kind of dog who trots around like he’s starring in his own indie film, complete with dramatic glances, heartfelt sighs, and the occasional comedic zoomie. He’s wonderfully social and gets along beautifully with other dogs, which means he’s ready to be the supportive best friend, the goofy sidekick, or the coconspirator in whatever adventures your household has planned. Poe is looking for a forever home where he can finally exhale, fill out, and live the good life he’s always deserved. If you’re ready for a dog who brings joy, humor, and a surprising amount of emotional intelligence for someone who still thinks squeaky toys are mortal enemies, he’s your guy. Apply to adopt Poe (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org — he’s ready to turn the page and start his happiest chapter yet. Please be sure to reference this pet's name as Poe (GA) in case of duplicate names within the rescue. Story
Apple - 3 years, 35lbs, Frenchie/Pug Mix, Spayed  This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program.  Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org. Thier Foster Parent Says: "Apple is the sweetest and most lovable girl! She’s an incredibly gentle and well-behaved pup with a curious spirit. Most of the time, she’s calm and cozy.. a true snuggle bug who could spend hours cuddling and soaking up belly rubs (her all-time favorite activity!). When she gets a burst of energy, she loves playing with her squeaky toys, throwing them up in the air, and showing off her playful side. On walks, she tends to get the attention of passerby’s with her adorable face and frequent head tilts. She’s a wonderful apartment dog who is respectful, mostly quiet, and happiest when she’s close to her people. She’s also getting into a good potty routine, typically going in the morning and improving every day as she adjusts to her schedule. She even enjoys her paws being cleaned with her doggy wipes when she gets back into the apartment (she treats it like she’s at the spa!). Apple is the perfect mix of affectionate, mellow, and curious, and will make an awesome companion in her forever home!" Level of dog ownership experience needed:BEGINNER: This means we predict this dog will be low on the challenge scale due to its breed/age combo. Potentially a good fit for someone who has relevant dog care experience (fostering, dog sitting) and is looking to adopt their first pup.  TOLERANCE TO CITYCity pup – Seems unfazed by the sights and sounds, may as well have been born here. POTTY TRAININGYes – Few or no accidents  COMFORT LEVEL WITH STRANGERSIn between bean – Fine with meeting new people but not particularly interested, kind of shy in busy social situations like a gathering or a packed day in the park.  BEHAVIOR WITH CHILDREN (always requires adult supervision)Yes for most ages – very confident, gentle, low energy, tolerant, not mouthy  SOCIAL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER DOGSYes – Good with most other dogs (sizes, breeds, etc.) as far as we know and enjoys socializing with other canines*** she will pull towards some other dogs because she wants to say hi but is very easy to redirect and keep walking. She can also be unfazed as well. We have only allowed her to socialize in very quick on-the-go interactions but seems good with other dogs. Used to live with other dogs - okay to be in a home with another dog :)  RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER ANIMALS (cats, small pets, etc.)Okay to be in a home with cats - we don't forsee this being an issue and she came from a home with cats  MOUTHY BEHAVIORPast this stage– Little to no interest in chewing on stuff or putting things in their mouth that aren’t food. Doesn’t try to chew on hands, feet, etc. during playtime SEPARATION ANXIETY (Please leave your foster dog home alone every day for at least 20 minutes.) Past this stage – Completely fine being left home alone. Doesn’t cry or exhibit destructive behavior when you leave the apartment or house.  LEASH MANNERSGetting the hang of it – Probably hasn’t been on a leash much in their life but figuring it out. Might be a mild puller but responds to correction.  CUDDLE BUG LEVELHigh – Wants to be in your lap pretty much all the time  JUMPING ON PEOPLE TO SAY HELLOCalm Greetings – Doesn’t jump up on people or dogs. Always all four on the floor.  CRATE TRAININGYep/mostly – Seems comfortable in the crate, may whine a little at first but settles pretty quickly. We use the crate when we leave the pup alone and/or at night. *** we left her in the crate when we were at work for the first few days and she would walk into it when we pointed at it without using any words. She seems to be used to it and falls asleep but she is very good so we don’t put her in the crate anymore. She sleeps in her dog bed in our room at night, not in the crate. Medical statusHealthy as far as we know. Recovering from an ear infection - common for the breed mix.  Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm negative; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Puerto Rico or Southern California. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes.
