Story
Apollo is a 1 1/2 year old Shepard husky pit bull terrier mix. He was adopted from the Chandler mall adoption center. He’s fully trained he actually went to a dog training boarding camp. He’s potty trained, e collar trained, he knows commands such as sit, down, heel, kennel(goes into cage), place(go lays on his mat), gaurd and center(goes in between your legs). He knows wait and leave it. He loves to play he loves dogs a lot they can make him a bit too excited but he’s able to be redirected. He’s super sweet he doesn’t show agression to dogs or people. He will chase a bunny if he sees one haha! Reason for rehoming is because I lost my source of income which resulted in me having to move back in with family. My family does not allow dogs !

Story
The pet was given to my boyfriend by his friend, she had a baby and was no longer able to care for her, so we decided to take over for her, but originally, we were expecting to give her back, but she never came to get Salem back. Salem was born August 2022, she will be two soon. We are hoping to find someone who lives in a home, and possibly has other dogs, or children, a place where she can get lots of attention, because she does love attention. She is very energetic and friendly. Salem loves playing with toys, and going outside, going on walks. We've taken her on hikes before and she does very well. She is also potty trained and cage trained. She's never attacked anyone, or appeared aggressive towards anyone. Sometimes when people come up to her, she will get really excited, and jump, but she's never aggressive.

Story
Sophie is a small 40lb, 1 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix. She has a very playful personality and can be shy at first, but opens up to be very bubbly and playful. She’s such a sweet girl who loves to cuddle and play! She is potty trained!! She is a great learner. She does well with clicker training and has learned sit and down within a couple days. Right now, we are working on the command for stay and general leash training. We are also working on not jumping and have seen lots of improvement! She is treat and toy motivated which has helped a lot with her training. She needs to be the only dog in the house. She does not get along well with our other dog. But she is good with kids and toddlers. Bonus tip! If you enjoy running, Sophie would make a great running partner! I’ve taken her on a small run and she matches cadence and takes commands well on runs.

Story
Bowie is a total doll who just LOVES people. She sits and waits for you to throw the ball to play fetch and hasn't shown any aggression at all to people. We rescued her from the e-list at MCACC, where she was listed as only-dog because of an incident with a puppy. Her notes oddly also indicated that she was ok with cats. We plan to test her with large dogs as well as with cats on our own to verify whether or not she can be with other dogs, and if she truly is cat-friendly as her notes say. She is so sweet and loving with people and is in a home with a 12yo child doing well currently. She has quite a bit of puppy energy but regular exercise and routine will help her thrive. Story
Millie is very sweet but needs some socialization in order to be more comfortable going to new places. She is a little bit shy and timid, so needs more fun experiences. Millie is worth the initial investment of time because, when comfortable, she is a doll and stays by your side. She is good with most dogs, and can be trusted around polite kids. Millie is a beautiful dog and simply needs a bit of time to become calm and relax. Millie must go to a very special home! Millie will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements. If you believe you're a possible match based on the detailed profile posted on our website,  please complete our online adoption application. "Companion animal" means, needs at least one other friendly, playful dog that lives full-time in the same household. "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence and owned by you or your landlord. (It does not mean a nearby fenced area or dog park or apartment/condo dog play area.)  Gates must have padlocks and thresholds (cement or buried pavers to prevent digging.) Yard and patio must be free of debris and have room for dogs to run and play on a lawn and/or in a very shaded area. Please do not invite us to your home if you have not yet landscaped your yard! “Swimming pool” means a private (belongs to you), in-ground, year-round pool that is available to the dog daily or multiple times per week. We will not place a dog in a home that has a "drained" or empty swimming pool (fall hazard and contributes to the propogation of mosquitos.) We DO NOT adopt to students as we have found that they often do not know or anticipate where life will take them. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling a home check - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. Thank you! July 23, 2024, 6:59 pm

Story
Rocket loves to engage with you. He is young and strong, but is great with kids and has a gentle personality and the potential to turn into a once in a lifetime pet. Rocket is a dream on leash and walks without pulling. He would love a family that hikes and goes on adventures. Rocket loves to play in water and loves face massages! Rocket has made amazing progress since joining us, and he is a volunteer favorite. He is enthusiastic and thrives once he knows the rules. Rocket is affectionate and is a naturally happy dog who gets on well with other well-adjusted dogs. Rocket will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Story
Max is a typical German Shepherd except that he is more playful than most and is more welcoming of strangers. The consensus is that he would be good with other dogs with the proper introduction and training. Max will bond easily to a family that treats him like a member of the family. Because he is young, Max still needs a fair amount of mental and physical exercise. Max needs a strong owner who takes him places. Max is not a guard dog, but is more of a watch dog -- and he is keenly intelligent. He is a very special dog! Max will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Story
Celia is easy going for a German Shepherd. She is very pretty and is a "leaner" as she loves to lean into he people friends, and she loves belly rubs. Celia can be trusted around most dogs and polite children. She is friendly by nature. An experienced Shepherd owner would find her easy to own and train. She needs a modest amount of exercise but nothing demanding. Celia would thrive with an owner who can set and enforce boundaries as she is very eager to please. Celia is underweight and probably needs to gain a few pounds. She is very smart and attentive. Available only to a great home. Celia will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian.
