Thank you for your interest! These puppies' momma was on the e-list at a county shelter where her pregancy would've been terminated if a rescue didn't take her. Puppies must be foster-to-adopt. They can go to their new homes once they're 8 weeks old and will be "fostered" until they are spayed / neutered at 16 weeks. Afterwhich, adoption can be formalized. Please apply to adopt first. If your application is approved, we'll put you in touch with their foster to set up a meet and greet. Rescue covers their spay / neuter and their full series of puppy shots :) Thank you!

Tigerlily is a beautiful seven-year-old, 73-pound German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and loyalty. Adopted from Home Fur Good almost two years ago, Tigerlily is once again in search of a forever home following the unfortunate passing of her previous owner. This affectionate girl is incredibly friendly with people and thrives on human interaction. Tigerlily prefers to be the only dog in the household, making her the perfect companion for someone seeking an undivided bond. She adores being petted and will happily sit by your side for endless cuddles. Tigerlily is not just a sweetheart but also well-behaved; she knows the sit command and walks beautifully on a leash. Her calm demeanor and gentle nature make her an ideal addition to any family looking for a devoted and loving pet. Tigerlily’s adoption fee of $150 covers all essential services, including spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Don’t miss the chance to meet this wonderful dog. Schedule an appointment to visit Tigerlily during adoption hours, Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, by calling 602-971-1334. Story
Luigi is a beautiful 2 year old German Shepherd mix who may have been a lonely, curious puppy as he was found wandering the streets twice before we rescued him. Now, Luigi has spent over a year of his short life at Home Fur Good and he really wants to go home. But taking on an under-socialized puppy requires patience and time and work and he has not met his forever family just yet. Luigi knows to sit when asked, but he does not understand the leash and that has been his main struggle when meeting new people. Unless Luigi knows and trusts you, he is not letting you come anywhere near his neck with any sort of leash or harness. He still exhibits signs of fear with new people and things, sometimes crouching timidly, or offering a mild sneer. But once he DOES know you and trust you, he is a goofball who just wants to play fetch and hear you laugh. He calms down for pets and enjoys chewing a toy by your side. He wants to please and we have learned that time and familiarity are going to be integral to Luigi's success. His ideal family (whether it's a single person, a couple, or a group) will benefit from meeting Luigi a few times at the shelter until he feels confident enough to go home. Luigi does not like sitting still and would thrive with walks and hikes and an active lifestyle. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm by appointment.

Hi my name is Blue! I'm a 2 year old Shepherd/Black Mouth Curr. I was abandoned on the streets of Phoenix in November 2023 when a Good Samaritan found me and Freedom Brothers rescued me! I've been adjusting well, up to date of vaccines, a happy and healthy boy! I love to play fetch and learning lots of new tricks! Can you foster or adopt me? I'd love to join your family!

Story
Rumer is a lively two-year-old, 39-pound German Shepherd Dog mix, bursting with youthful energy and enthusiasm. With many endearing puppy- like behaviors, Rumer may get a bit mouthy and jumpy when excited, but she quickly settles down. She adores being close to her people and is more than happy to sit in your lap to receive pets and scritches. Though she will sit for treats, her curiosity soon has her on the move again. Rumer would greatly benefit from training classes to help her develop better concentration and focus. Despite her high energy, she has a tremendous amount of love to give. Her adoption fee of $225 includes essential services such as spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. To meet Rumer, please schedule an appointment during adoption hours, Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, by calling 602-971- 1334.

Story
Millie is very sweet but needs some socialization in order to be more comfortable going to new places. She is a little bit shy and timid, so needs more fun experiences. Millie is worth the initial investment of time because, when comfortable, she is a doll and stays by your side. She is good with most dogs, and can be trusted around polite kids. Millie is a beautiful dog and simply needs a bit of time to become calm and relax. Millie must go to a very special home! Millie will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements. If you believe you're a possible match based on the detailed profile posted on our website,  please complete our online adoption application. "Companion animal" means, needs at least one other friendly, playful dog that lives full-time in the same household. "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence and owned by you or your landlord. (It does not mean a nearby fenced area or dog park or apartment/condo dog play area.)  Gates must have padlocks and thresholds (cement or buried pavers to prevent digging.) Yard and patio must be free of debris and have room for dogs to run and play on a lawn and/or in a very shaded area. Please do not invite us to your home if you have not yet landscaped your yard! “Swimming pool” means a private (belongs to you), in-ground, year-round pool that is available to the dog daily or multiple times per week. We will not place a dog in a home that has a "drained" or empty swimming pool (fall hazard and contributes to the propogation of mosquitos.) We DO NOT adopt to students as we have found that they often do not know or anticipate where life will take them. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling a home check - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. Thank you! July 23, 2024, 6:59 pm

Story
Rocket loves to engage with you. He is young and strong, but is great with kids and has a gentle personality and the potential to turn into a once in a lifetime pet. Rocket is a dream on leash and walks without pulling. He would love a family that hikes and goes on adventures. Rocket loves to play in water and loves face massages! Rocket has made amazing progress since joining us, and he is a volunteer favorite. He is enthusiastic and thrives once he knows the rules. Rocket is affectionate and is a naturally happy dog who gets on well with other well-adjusted dogs. Rocket will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian.
