Story
Hi. I'm Boone! I'm a sweet and gentle 3-year-old boy with the cutest face - so much expression in my brows don't you think!! You may have seen me here for a while now, looking for my new home. Please don't be scared by that, I'm a really sweet boy and I've really come a long way since I was saved from the scarey shelter. You see, at first I was a tad shy when it came to meeting new friends. New dog friends were a breeze and I get along with them all but human friends were a teeny bit different for me. It took me a while to trust people again but my those I did trust did not give up on me. I have been meeting lots and lots of people and am happy to say I LIKE THEM. Even when I was a little cautious meeting new friends, I never growled or snapped at anyone ever, even at the scary vet. I tried really, really hard and now I'm having so much fun.   I really do like having a dog friend, too. Humans are cool but another confident, easy going dog in the home can show me the ropes. I LOVE going on walks and I am really good on my leash. I love sniff walks and going places with my friends. You don't have to worry about me barking and carrying on either, I'm a gentleman. I know to do my business outside and I'm not destructive at all. I don't climb fences or dig under them. I pretty much like doing whatever everyone else is doing.  I would like a home that is somewhat calm with not a ton of new peeps in and out. If you do want to have some friends over, just make sure I can move away if I feel I need to. Who knows, I may just like all your friends, too. Bonus points if they bring their dogs over to play.  I have met a dog savvy cat and we made friends (you have to be friends with the ones wearing razors).  I'm currently hanging out with my foster mom and her dogs. It's fun and I really like her but I think I need my own forever where I can be the center of attention. If you would like to meet me, just let the kind people at the rescue know by filling out an application for yours truly!!!I  PLEASE NOTE: Boone has hip dysplasia. He has been seen by an orthopedic vet, and we were advised that surgery is not needed at this time and may never be needed. Should a veterinarian determine that Boone requires hip surgery AT ANY TIME, BAGSR will be responsible for all costs. Boone is very active and requires normal exercise. He loves to hike and explore and run with the rest of the dogs. Boone will occasionally have a very mild limp on one side, and he takes an anti-inflammatory once a day. You like this dog...now what? Please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form at:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/42179/generic Our adoption team will spring into action to help you adopt this dog. If you have already completed the application and are approved, please phone or text your adoption counselor and we will set up a meeting.  Not sure, foster first and adopt later! BAGSR is always in need of fosters. There is an overwhelming number of dogs who need our help and the more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save. BAGSR covers expenses, including food. Fosters provide the love and a soft place to crash. https://petstablished.com/foster_form/42405/generic ##1882909##

Story
Hi! I’m Cali — professional greeter, enthusiastic explorer, and full-time happy girl looking for my person. I'm a big girl, just a little over a year old and incredibly beautiful with my long, flowing locks and freaking adorable ear fluffs. I mean, if you like attention (I sure do), just take be for a walk!! Please, take me for a walk, or a hike or a run or a anywhere you want to go - I'm game. I love to be out and about (missed that a bit in my prior home) AND I absolutely love people. Truly. If you exist, I would like to meet you, say hello, and probably lean in for some affection. OK, so I can get a little jumpy when I'm really excited so tiny people may be overwhelmed and I certainly wouldn't want to accidentally knock one down!!  I love to play!  If you like to toss the ball, I like to chase the ball. Giving it back is a work in progress because I like to be chased. Catch me if you can (actually, you just need a second ball). Other dogs - I'm learning but I've been doing really well. My current foster has a wonderful group of dogs that I get to hang out with all day. We play chase, we wrestle a bit, we climb on things, and best of all - WE GET TO PLAY IN THE WATER. I LOVE the water and will jump into the tubs and submerge my whole self. It's so much fun. Maybe my new home will have a pool.....If you do have another dog that really likes to play and have fun, we could be friends.  I'm a pretty smart girl and really just a sponge for learning. I know sit, down, stay, heel, and my recall is pretty darn good for a youngster like me. I love learning, love working with my people, and I’m happiest when my brain and body are both busy. I ride beautifully in the car — I mostly just lay down and enjoy the trip. OK, if I happen to see another dog I get a bit excited but I easily ride in a crate, too. Speaking of crates - I would really prefer a home that doesn't crate me unless it's 10000000% necessary. I was crated WAY too much in my prior home and, while I'm a good girl, I really don't want that life again. It's way too hard on us youngsters, you know.  I'm not sure about the kitties and I haven't really met any. My people say I would probably be too much for a kitty or other small critters though. Larger animals are interesting but I haven't met anything much bigger than me. So what is my ideal home? An active, dog-savvy person or family who understands that I’m a young dog still learning. I’ll need continued reward-based. positive training, structure, exercise, and mental stimulation. A yard to play in would make me very happy but I will also need adventures away from home. Because I sometimes jump up and get overly excited, a home without young children would be best right now. What I really want is simple:  a person to adventure with, learn with, and love with. Could that be you? I'm hanging out with all the dogs in Lower Lake.  ##2406718##

Story
Hi, I'm Riley, and I'm about 3 years old. My sister, Koda, and I are looking for a new family after our world changed in the saddest way. Our beloved person passed away unexpectedly, and while we're now with a caring family member, we need to find a place of our own. Our temporary caregiver loves us, but knows we deserve a home where we can get the time, attention, and care we need. I'm a friendly, healthy girl who enjoys meeting people and does well with children. I also get along nicely with other dogs, so if you already have a canine companion, I'd be happy to make a new friend. I ride well in the car, my vaccinations are up to date, and I'm always ready to explore. One of my favorite things is being outdoors with plenty of open space to stretch my legs, sniff around, and simply enjoy life. We don't know how I do with cats, but I have so much love to give to the right family. If you have room in your heart and home for me—or maybe even for my sister Riley too—you'll be giving us the fresh start we so desperately need after losing the person we loved. I'm currently in Yuba City, California, waiting and hoping my next chapter begins with you. ##2771953##

Story
Hi! It's me, Stan. I was adopted from BAGSR several years ago but unfortunately my person had some medical issues so I'm back looking for my next great adventure. It's all good, I'm a big, confident boy with a lot of love to give. I'm around 6 years old, and we think I'm a very cool mix of German Shepherd, Malinois and maybe some guardian breed due to my neat back dew claws but who knows. I have a gorgeous soft golden orange coat and the cutest white on my muzzle (sugar lips) and silly white eyebrows. I was originally found in Tulare, chilling out in a fruit orchard before I met my human friends. I don't remember how I got there but I don't think it was good. That's all way behind me now. I'm a super easy-going boy and don't thak things too seriously. I love to go for rides and explore new places and meet new people, espeically the petting kind — seriously, who doesn't? I've seen lots of other dogs when out and about and, while I might glance at them, I pretty much mind my own business. I love going for walks and I don't yank my person around, that would be kind of rude for a distinguished guy like me.  I'm super healthy, active with a chill switch, crate trained if you must, house trained, have my basics and will shake hands if you ask. I have been known to surf a counter or two but you just have to remember to push the food back out of reach. I know I shouldn't but I am a "foodie" and take my treats seriously. Oh, and I've got this funny habit of walking between your legs. It's like my signature move! I think someone tried to teach me this and we only got partway. I seemed to have missed the "only when asked, Stan" part.  Now, about those treats... I really really like treats. One of my friends said I take treats like a starving pirahana and I might accidentaly get a finger (I really don't like fingers unless they are chicken fingers.) Still, I doubt I could help myself from snatching a treat from a kid if given the chance, so it's best if I live with a family that has older kids. I love kids (recently got mobbed by a Girl Scouts group and loved every minutes of it) but those yummy treats........ I'm looking for a family who can be my leader and guide me as I continue to learn and grow. I'm a big, confident boy, and I need someone who knows their way around large breeds like me. But trust me, I'm worth it—I'll be your loyal companion for life. So if you're looking for an awesome dog like me, look no further!  I'm hanging out in Santa Rosa if you want to meet me or just come say hi.  You like this dog...now what?
