Story
Name: Mia Age: 6 years old Mia is a sweet and loving dog who is looking for a new family. We got her from a local breeder. Due to our busy schedules, we are no longer able to give her the time and attention she deserves, especially daily walks and companionship. Mia is very friendly and loves kids. She has never bitten anyone and has a gentle, affectionate personality. She is used to living outdoors on a 2-acre property, so she has had plenty of space to run and explore. She would do best with a family who has the time to walk her regularly and spend quality time with her. Mia is a wonderful dog, and this decision is only being made because we want what is best for her.

Story
Jerry Lee is an affectionate, energetic 11-month-old German Shepherd looking for a home that can match his playful personality. We adopted him from a shelter in Santa Rosa when he was 9 months old, and he’s grown into a smart, loyal pup who loves people and other dogs. He’s potty trained and very food-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for future training. Like many young shepherds, he still needs guidance with jumping and chewing, but with structure, exercise, and consistency, he will absolutely thrive. Jerry Lee’s favorite activities include going to the park, exploring, running with other dogs, and getting attention from anyone willing to give it. He would do best with someone who understands the needs of working breeds: plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and regular training. If you’re looking for a fun, loving young shepherd to grow and bond with, Jerry Lee could be the perfect fit for your family.

Story
She is a very friendly dog and a loyal companion. She gets overly excited when she sees other dogs and will tug on the leash. She doesn't have a recall, so it is difficult to get her if she gets off leash. However, she is very smart and very trainable. As much as we love her, we can no longer afford to take care of her the way she deserves. We also have busy schedules. We feel very guilty and believe that a new, loving home is what she deserves.

Story
Hi I'm Checkers.  Check me out! I am a 3 year old German Shepherd, and quite a handsome boy if I do say so myself.  I like to play with my kong and go on leisurely walks.  I love people, and am very affectionate and loyal. My foster mom says I am a really good boy and so easy to have around.  I would really like to have my own family to hang out with.  I don't mind being left alone while you are at work, and I am completely house trained. I know how to sit and I walk well on a leash, but I don't like kitties. I hope you will want to come meet me.       Come see this pup during adoption event hours. Please email Linda at lbredfire@sbcglobal.net or call WT&F's Dog Team voicemail 707-812-9030 to get a jump on the process, ask questions, and/or to confirm they will be there.  Dog adoptions are held at Napa Petco on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month - 1:00pm to 4:00pm. . This dog comes spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and more with an adoption fee/donation to Whiskers, Tails and Ferals in Napa, CA. Story
Hey guys, my name is Chomper, I have a unique name because I have a unique mouth. As you can see, I need a little bit of special love and attention when I first got rescued. But I got everything that I needed and now I am moving onto bigger and better things! The biggest news I have is I joined the training program and I am learning to be an awesome dog. I get to show off my skills all the time, and I learn faster than my trainer can teach me, in fact, I learned so fast that it takes three trainers to work with me because they can’t keep up with how smart I am. I really do want to find a forever family and I’m hoping that maybe my unique personality and unique look about me will capture somebody’s attention. Hopefully sooner than later, because Man the older I get the more and more that couch looks really comfy just to snooze on. so keep me in the back of your mind and maybe one day you’ll help me find my family or maybe my family will be you.

Story
Meet Max, a resilient parvo survivor and an incredible example of what second chances can create. Max overcame parvovirus as a young rescue dog and emerged stronger, healthier, and ready to thrive in a loving home. His journey is a testament to his determination, gentle spirit, and love for life. Now fully recovered, Max is a happy, affectionate dog who enjoys human connection and structure. He is currently participating in AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC)–based training, where he is building strong foundational skills such as polite leash walking, basic obedience, impulse control, and confidence in everyday environments. This training helps set Max up for long-term success as a well-mannered family companion. Max does best with consistency, routine, and positive reinforcement. He loves learning, bonds deeply with his people, and enjoys being part of daily life—whether that means walks, quiet time at home, or simply being nearby. Parvo survivor dogs like Max often develop a strong sense of connection with their adopters, and Max is no exception. Adopting Max means welcoming a rescue dog who has already overcome so much and is continuing to grow through AKC/CGC training. He is ready for a forever family that values training, patience, and unconditional love. If you’re looking to adopt a trained rescue dog, support a parvo survivor, and add a loyal companion to your family, Max is ready to meet you.
