Story
Meet Becca! This beautiful girl is ready to find her forever home! Bonus: we're pretty sure her satellite ears get all the local channels. From her current foster: "Becca has been getting better every day! She loves to play fetch, go in the car, lay in your lap and chew on toys. She is very protective of her people and takes a bit to adjust to new people. She has worked a lot on getting used to men and passing cars. She is just a big puppy that doesn't know how big she is. She settles down in her kennel really good and sleeps all night. Becca is really good at sitting and listening to commands when you have her focus, She really is a love bug!! "We have lovingly nick named Becca as Bumble B. B will come when you call, sit and lay down. She is crate trained (barking/whinning is a test if you will really leave her in there and subsides quickly once comfortable in the home). B LOVES; playing with other dogs, splashing in her water bowl, chasing sprinklers, a good game of tug-o-war, and getting all the attention. She will provide you with tons of love and laughs free of charge. However, B will protect you fiercely. She has stranger danger and does not want anyone in her home that she thinks doesn't belong (A shower does make you a new person, but for only a moment). I would not list her as cat friendly at this time, and with kids I would be cautious. We had one nip (no broken skin) but since then we have had zeros issues biting intentionally. She is still a puppy meaning she can be mouthy, and no toes are not off limits. This silly Bumble B needs someone as special as her. Someone who will take the time to work through her fears, and provide her with the stability/structure she needs! Her previous foster says that "Becca has become a cuddle enthusiast. She's learned "sit and "come. She's still working on potty training but is having fewer and fewer accidents indoors. She sleeps in the bed with us and sleeps through the night with no potty accidents. She chases cars but we're working on that. She's overcome her fear of strangers! She also plays well with other dogs. She will definitely need a home that can provide lots of exercise and stimulation. She's a very smart girl but requires a lot of patience because she's mischievous haha." ADOPTION FEE: $500 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

Story
Rex is a sweet German Shepherd mix, around 8 years old and 56 lbs. He is house-trained, walks great on leash, likes car rides, doesn't jump on people or furniture, and is also friendly with other dogs and people (including kids)... in short, Rex is awesome! He has a very calm and mellow personality, but also has a playful side that comes out when in the mood with his closest canine friends (see video). Rex came to Colorado from Texas, where he'd been abandoned in a house with other dogs after the owner moved out due to terminal cancer. Neighbors would come on occasion to feed the dogs over the course of several months before Big Bones stepped in to rescue. He was then flown by private plane to Colorado to start a new life! Unfortunately, he was also diagnosed with heartworm, but has since received the necessary treatment and is expected to make a full recovery in his foster home in Windsor. Rex is understandably a little cautious when meeting new people or dogs, but is growing in trust and confidence with every opportunity and he'd welcome the chance to meet you next!

Story
Pammi is guessed to be a 1-2 yr old Shepherd mix. and is ready to be loved! Look at how striking she is in the photographs and she is even more beautiful in person.  This gorgeous girl is a bit shy at first, but is learning how good it is to be loved by humans. We don't know much about her history but we can tell she was never socialized. Due to never being socialized or being in a loving home, she will do best with a confident canine buddy in her future home and a VERY patient adopter. She needs a loving person or family to show her how good life can be as a beloved family member. Once she trusts you she loves to be cuddled so if you have a warm lap and love to give, she is the right dog for you! She loves her kennel and feels very safe in it.   She sleeps through the night and naps during the day in it. She will do best with a 6 foot fenced yard or someone who will patiently teach her to walk on a leash until she gains confidence with you and her new surroundings.  This beautiful girl is waiting patiently to find her FurEver Family and is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes and rehabilitates timid, shy, scared or unsocialized dogs. She is absolutely adorable and her eyes will melt your heart! Her foster mom thinks she would do better in a quiet home with adults or older children to work with her. Another confident dog could be helpful as she loves other dogs, but not necessary if the adopter can help her continue on her confidence journey. Her foster mom has an amazing rehabilitation protocol to help these scared dogs and is working with her on potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, kennel training, doggie door training and if time permits, leash and car training. She also has an amazing group of volunteers that meet twice a week to help socialize all the scared foster dogs in her care. There are lots of other dogs at her foster mom's house so we know she is dog friendly. Her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced slowly and properly. She will need an adopter who will give her love and patience. Please consider this adorable dog as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs, who adore their humans. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter, who is willing to do a minimum of one paid training session with her. This training session is NOT basic obedience, but instead, is designed for rescue dogs and teaches the adopter how to work to build the dogs confidence and overcome any trauma the dog may have experienced. This training is to teach the adopter how to continue the rehabilitation protocol that will help the dog be successful in their new home.  The training will help the family and this sweet dog bond and to adjust to their new life together much quicker than trying to do it on your own. The foster provides a discount on training to her adopters. The dogs that she fosters truly need an adopter to be their hero and offer them lots of time, patience, love and a safe environment that they can continue to grow in confidence.

Story
Hello, I'm Anubis, but you can call me Nubi. I'm a recent owner surrender, a 4ish yr old Shepherd mix, around 43 lbs, and I'm a pro at walking on a leash, a skill I'm quite proud of. I adore the company of other dogs, cats, and kids too! I've been told I'm sweet, friendly, and loyal, which I think are my best traits. I have a heart full of affection, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Adopting me means gaining a faithful companion who will always be by your side. Come see me in Windsor!

Story
Hi, I am Lexi. I am a sweet, gentle and loving pup looking for a home. I like to cuddle, go on walks and chew on bones. I can be shy at first but I warm up quickly. I am afraid of some other dogs so I need a home as your only pup. I am very smart and can be an escape artist so I need a home with a 6ft fence or a home that does not have a yard. I would love to have a chance to meet you and become your best friend.
