Story
Lucy is an extremely sweet, funny, and playful dog. She loves other dogs, kids, and has been friends with cats in the past, although we don't have one. We adopted her from Animal Friends Alliance, and she is approximately 4-5 years old. She loves walks, playing, and snuggling. She has not shown a lot of interest in toys, but she likes some treats! She is a calm dog indoors and very rarely barks. She does have some separation anxiety and does not do well when left alone for long periods of time, so we are looking for someone who will spend a lot of time with her. I recently got a new job and will no longer be able to be home with her during the day as much as she needs. She would be perfect with someone who works from home and is able to be there with her a lot. We crate her when we leave the house, so she is crate trained, but it is not her favorite place to be, and she gets a little anxious. We would love to find Lucy a home where she can get the love and attention that she deserves!

Story
Oso is a gentle giant senior looking to spend his golden years in a loving home. Oso ended up at a shelter in New Mexico at the age of 8 years old. He was not thriving in a shelter environment, and we were lucky enough to be able to move him up to Colorado and into a foster home. Oso is about 85 lbs and likely a purebred German Shepherd. He has had full bloodwork and x-rays done, and seems to be very healthy! He loves food of any kind, and is smart and motivated to please. He enjoys long walks despite some arthritis in his spine, which we're currently treating with joint supplements and appropriate diet. Oso is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and Heartworm-negative. Oso is good with other dogs, and takes correction from other dogs well. We have not seen him with cats or small kids yet. He gets anxious in a kennel, which his foster is working on. If interested in adopting, please fill out the application at the following link: https://www.wildwestpetrescue.org/adopt

Story
Amos is a goofy, friendly boy filled with love and ready to play. He loves going for walks and hikes and playing in the yard with his dog friends. He is super quiet in his kennel and goes in on command. He is great with other dogs, and all people, and walks as well on leash. He mostly ignores cats, and could easily live in a home with them. He is working on potty training. He is about 6 months old and just about 35lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. If interested in adopting please fill out the application linked below. https://www.wildwestpetrescue.org/adopt

Story
Beautiful Katie is a 3 yr old German Shepherd mix, and has been through more than most, but you’d never guess it from her big smile and wagging tail. Her leg got caught in a bear trap, causing serious injury that required amputation to save her life. Thanks to emergency care and lots of love, this brave girl made it through—and is now healing, learning, getting around on 3 legs great and looking toward a brighter future. She’s a delightful companion—potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, good on leash, dog friendly, kid friendly, nice manners in the house. She’s a petite 35-40 pounds. She would love to become a member of your family, apply today!
