Story
We are looking to rehome our German Shepard named Mia. She is a great dog, she loves to play fetch, loves to go on walks, she loves to cuddle in bed, and loves to go on car rides. She is great for protecting your home as well. We are very sad we can't give her the time and attention she needs since we have an 11 month old. She just turned 8 years old but she acts like she is 6 years old. She needs to go to a home with no dogs or cats. We really wish she could go to someone with a big backyard and someone who could give her lots of attention. She is up to date with her shots and vacancies.

I have been the only owner and raised my she boy since he was a pup, we have lived in the Mountains and now for unfortunate events, I am unable to keep him. I love him with all my heart and I want to find the very best home for him;. He is a fun and energetic boy, loves to hike and be outdoors, he is very smart and loves to have a job to do; He is super loyal and a loves to cuddle; the only reason I ask for the pet fee is so he gets someone who really will truly love and care for him….

Story
Hiro is a 45 lbs, 7 year old, German Shepherd mix that lost his home (along with his two canine siblings) when his family moved and didn’t take them. Since coming to CO, Hiro joined a fun foster family with other dogs and kiddos. He’s in heaven! Hiro is adjusting well, but we think he would appreciate a more mature home. He’s active and adventurous and will do well with an active home and a fenced in yard. He’s house and crate trained. Hiro enjoys playing with his canine foster siblings and snuggling on the couch with his foster moms. You can also find him sprawling across the bed in his best “paint me like a french girl” pose. Hiro is in foster in Parker, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/hiro. Story
Jam is a very special, 6 month old, male, German Shepherd/Pittie mix. This boy is already 60 lbs!!! He has the sweetest temperament and has been raised in a loving foster home since he was a wee little worm. Jam loves humans and he loves dog friends. He is house trained, crate trained, and well on a leash. He is adventure seeking, snuggle loving, and enjoys playtime! His foster mom says he’s the world’s best snuggler! Jam was born in a small, underfunded shelter in Texas. He came to CO with his mom and littermates at just a couple weeks old. When it came time to be adopted, it was discovered that Jam had a problem with the mitral valve in his heart. The specialists recommended he be rechecked when he was a bit older. So, Jam hung out in his foster home while he continued to grow (and grow and grow). On March 1st, Jam had a follow-up echocardiogram and it was discovered his heart issue had resolved!! We were thrilled. He does have a very mild case of Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia, but it is believed he will outgrow this, as well. He presently lives a normal life, takes no medications, and will just need a follow-up appt when he’s about a year old to see how his heart has grown. Jam is in foster in Englewood, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/jam You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Sage! Please meet our tri-colored beauty, Sage. This gal is 4 months old. Sage is smart as a whip and is looking for a GSD savvy home with an appreciation for a girl with beauty AND brains. Sage is awesome and playful with other dogs. She alert barks appropriately when meeting new people but quickly warms up to strangers. Sage is also doing very well with her house training. She’s looking for a forever family with a fenced in yard and plenty of love to give. We feel a home with another dog would be helpful for her. She is not a fan of being crated and will require patient humans to help her through that process, if it’s a desired by her forever humans. Sage is in foster in LaPorte, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/sage-2/. Story
Bisget is 7yrs young. We got her from a family friend at 8 months old. She has been a great companion. She is very loving, and very vocal when she feels she isn’t getting enough belly rubs. The past year I had to pick up a second job and that leaves very little time to spend with her. She energetic, loves her walks and being outside. Also doesn’t mind a couple mid day naps. She’s just awesome.
