Gunther is a really cool dude. He is fantastic at fetch but he's not a hyper boy. just loves attention and is very smart. Did we mention Gunther is very handsome, too? He keeps a very clean kennel, so we feel certain he is house trained.

Story
Looking for an excellent dog and companion, but also a great potential protection dog or competition dog? Look no further than Mia, our 2-year-old German Shepherd/Malanois mix. This breed makes a loyal and devoted companion. They tend to be a little more level headed like the German Shepherd and are not as overly active as the Malinois and they are easier to live with as a house pet. Mia came to us when her owner decided he was too busy to devote to her the time she deserved. She has completed her basic command and manner training in Camp K-9 at the Kentucky State Reformatory. Her inmate handler describes her as having medium energy. She enjoys walks, playtime with dogs and humans, and playing with her own toys. She is house trained and crate trained. She does alert at strangers sometimes. Mia has a clean bill of health and is up to date on vaccines and is on flea/tick and heart worm prevention. She is microchipped. Mia needs an owner with experience with dogs of her breed or large dog experience. No cats and no children in the home. If you would like to meet Mia, please fill out an application on our website.

Story
MISTY is a 3 year old, female german shepherd that weighs 65 lbs. She is smart, affectionate, active and very ready for her forever home. This beautiful girl has been with us for a long time, 2 years to be exact. We dont know why? She's a beautiful dog that's and good with other young male dogs. She's a german shepherd so she loves people, but in a "I'll respect you if you respect me" kind of way. She has a good work ethic, so again, an owner who has the mental stamina to work with her. Her time has come! She's as brilliant as they come! Her perfect home will be with an active, adult family (she'd be fine with older children). She must have a fenced yard and will be just fine with older children. If interested in adopting, please submit an application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com

Story
DELTA is a 3 year old german shepherd, pit bull mix female. She currently weighs 59 lbs. She is a graduate of our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program and is very, very well trained. Like many german shepherds, Delta enjoys a "job". She is smart and she is focused. She is also very athletic. Her most outstanding physical characteristic is her ears! They are always held high and on alert! Her most outstanding personality trait is her love of water and deflated basket balls. If you're a lake person, here's your girl! If you've outgrown your school basketball years, and have an old one or two around, here's your girl - she will self-entertain for hours. Her perfect home with be one with active adults and a fenced in yard. DELTA does need to be the ONLY dog and she says NO to cats. She will be satisfied simply by having her "person" and becoming the most loyal companion in your life. If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our application. Please visit our website at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com and click on DELTA's picture in "Adoptable Dogs". Additional adoption FAQ's can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants based on our "best family fit" approach. Thank you!
