Story
Nova is an 8 year old female who weighs 61 lbs.  She was picked up by animal control with another dog and neither were claimed despite being microchipped.  Nova is friendly and easy going, take treats gently, and knows basic commands.  She gets along with the other dogs in her foster home but may need a slow intro with other animals.  Please email rescueblackdogs@yahoo.com to apply to adopt. Story
Rex is a 3 (almost 4) year old German shepherd/Chow mix who became part of our family in late 2020 when we rescued him as a puppy while stationed in Nevada. My work has become more demanding and because of this change I don’t have the time necessary to give Rex the life he deserves. He’s a very sweet, loyal and intelligent boy who loves hard and plays hard, he has quite a bit of energy but once he gets a chance to get it out he’s is very calm and affectionate. He has grown up alongside dogs and has never had any problems with those in his pack. His shots are up to date but are coming due within this year. He’s always been a joy and we are heartbroken to have to rehome him but this is what’s best for him as it’s not fair to him. We both truly hope he finds a good and loving home and he brings you as much joy and love as he has brought us.

Please contact Denise at 610-656-1291 (Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in New Castle, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 610-656-1291 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 May 7, 2024, 6:05 pm
