Story
Louie is a sweet and energetic German Shepard/Saint Bernard mix. He loves affection and to go for runs. He will need a family that has a large fenced in yard or farm. His family will need to be active and like to take him on a lot of walks. He needs physical and mental stimulation as he has a lot of energy. He loves kids but would be better with a family that has older kids due to him being a wiggle butt and not realizing his size. He is going to be 4 years old and is about 70lbs. He is neutered and does have to take medication every day to help strengthen his bladder as the neuter caused him to dribble pee when he gets excited so the medication has helped out a lot and it runs roughly about $40/month. Other than that he is in good health. He is dog reactive and pulls on the leash when walked so he does best when walking him with a prong collar to redirect. He can be shy at first but warms up very fast and has a lot of love to give. The rehoming fee is negotiable for the right family.

Story
Maddox is a 2 year old German Shepherd who didn't have the easiest of starts in life. He came to us severely emaciated, with open sores and little hair from lack of veterinary care. Maddox's skin resolved with antibiotics, flea and tick preventatives and high quality dog food. He has gained over twenty pounds since entering our care in March of 2025. He looks and feels amazing! Maddox has been vaccinated and neutered, he is on monthly preventatives and is microchipped.   Now that Maddox is looking and feeling amazing he is looking for a home to call his now. Maddox will need a firm leader with breed experience. He is working on basic manners but he had a poor foundation in life, we can only assume he had little interaction to build this foundation. He is a fast learner and very treat motivated! Maddox does not care for cats or small dogs. He would do best with older children as his exuberance for life could easily knock a little one down! If you are looking for a smart, loyal companion to train Maddox is your guy! Maddox's adoption fee is $400. May 2, 2025, 10:47 am

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 December 14, 2025, 11:35 am
