Louie is a sweet and energetic German Shepard/Saint Bernard mix. He loves affection and to go for runs. He will need a family that has a large fenced in yard or farm. His family will need to be active as a simple walk once or twice a day will not be good night for him. He needs physical and mental stimulation as he has a lot of energy. He loves kids but would be better with a family that has older kids due to him being a wiggle butt and not realizing his size. He is 2 years old and about 75-80 lbs. I am in the process of getting him neutered prior to his adoption. Other than that he is in perfect health and updated on shots. He can be shy at first but warms up to people fast. He has done well with other large friendly dogs but has not been around smaller dogs. He does shed a lot so be prepared to sweep every day. All applicants must provide proof of outdoor area where he will play. The rehoming fee is negotiable.

Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process.
