Story
Hes a high energy boy but full of love. Hes a handsome 7 yr old boy. Hes super gentle with kids and smaller animals including reptiles. Reuben is leash trained and loves adventure! And kids! He has a major love for kids and itd be a big bonus if there were little ones to run around the backyard with. Hes never bit anyone. Hes just a very high energy dog stuck in a house with someone that works 24/7. No health issues. Strong as an ox. Very good boy and hes extremely affectionate and cuddly. After a good and chaotic day, he makes the best movie buddy! And he talks like a husky so you can have full conversation with the guy. Only quirk is he needs to have soft toys. He even takes baths and let's me use the nail dremel on his feet really well for at home grooming. He needs a family. Does well with toddlers as well.

Story
Meet Sasha! Found wandering along railroad tracks with her two puppies, Sasha was heartbreakingly thin and struggling to survive. She protected her little family with everything she had, but when rescued, it was clear she was exhausted and malnourished. Fortunately, her foster mom found her and took amazing care of her! Sasha is thriving in her foster home and ready to find her forever family! Sasha is the perfect blend of playful energy and loyal companionship. This gorgeous girl is the kind of dog who’ll make every day a little brighter, whether she’s chasing after her favorite ball or curling up at your feet after a long day. Sasha absolutely lives for a good game of fetch, she could play for hours if you let her, always ready with that eager tail wag and happy grin that says, “One more throw, please!” When it’s time to relax, Sasha knows how to settle in. She’s crate trained, completely house trained, and loves nothing more than being near her people snuggled close while you watch your favorite show or unwind for the evening. She walks beautifully on a leash or harness, making her the perfect adventure buddy for anyone who enjoys strolls around the neighborhood or exploring the trails. Sasha would thrive with an active family or a young couple looking not only for a loyal companion, but also a cherished family member to join in on life’s adventures. She gets along well with other dogs but would be just as happy soaking up all the love as your one and only. In every way, Sasha is ready to be someone’s best friend, playful, loving, loyal, and full of heart. If you’re looking for a dog who will bring laughter, companionship, and endless games of fetch into your life, Sasha is waiting to meet you. Sasha is approximately 3 years old and weighs about 48 lbs. Sasha is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to many locations across the country. Transport fee is included in her adoption fee.

Story
Hello! My name is Boone! Are you looking for a sports dog? I am your guy! I am a highly driven, smart dog looking for jobs to do to prove myself. My energy can be quite a lot, as I am a young dog who has previously lacked structure and commitment. But I am showing fantastic improvements with managing my excitement, and I hope to show you my best side if you meet me. I would prefer a home without other animals and children under 12 due to my sensitive nature. I have TONS of love to give and I would have even more dedication to offer to you as your partner in crime. Could we start the next chapter of our lives together? Come hang out with me soon!

Rayne is five years old. She is a very sweet girl who loves people. She loves to go on walks and play tug. She listens very well and knows basic commands. She is potty trained and won’t even throw up in the house if she can help it. She needs someone that has more time than I do after starting nursing school to give her the love, attention, and exercise that she needs. Text 567-868-5117 with any questions.

Story
Meet Winnie – A Gentle Soul Ready to BloomWinnie is a 3-year-old, 70-pound sweetheart with a heart as soft as her eyes. Found wandering with one of our other residents, she’s been nothing but kind and loving since the moment she arrived. Though new to the shelter life, Winnie has handled it all with grace and a wagging tail that’s starting to show more confidence each day. She’s the type of dog who thrives on gentle affection and calm reassurance — belly rubs are her absolute favorite! While some loud noises or quick movements can still make her a little unsure, we’re watching her blossom beautifully as she learns that the world can be a safe, happy place.Winnie is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, so for now she’s keeping things on the calmer side. She’ll do best in a home that can provide structure, patience, and enrichment to keep her mind engaged while her body rests and heals. Once she’s fully recovered, she’ll be ready to enjoy a more active lifestyle with her forever family. We know this gentle girl has everything it takes to become a phenomenal family companion — loyal, loving, and eager to please. With a steady routine and a kind heart to guide her, Winnie is sure to blossom into the confident, joyful dog she was always meant to be.If you think your home could be the safe haven Winnie’s been waiting for, apply to meet her at friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogsIf you would like to meet Winnie, please submit an application for her on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs.
