Story
Moose is a one year old (October 29th) 100%German Shepherd, we did a DNA kit on him. He is very protective of his family. Moose loves to play and run. We just want him to go to a good family that can give him the time and space to be happy. The home we moved to doesn’t have a yard or room for him to play. He’s not happy please help us find him a happy home. Moose really needs space to run. He’s not a small dog. Moose will take some time to warm up but he is a sweet boy when he does.

Story
Jager is a very sweet boy, he knows lots of tricks and learns quickly. He just turned 2 in August 2025. Hes very playful and very needy. A friend of ours needed to re-home him and we decided we were up for the challenge. My husband has always wanted a German Shepherd named Jager. Things started off great but we work a lot, and being unable to give him attention, he got upset and started disobeying. He has a bad habit of getting in the trash and on the counters. He also does not get along with cats, our cat basically lives upstairs now and I miss her. I believe a home with lots of time and patience is exactly what he needs, and we just dont have either of those things. We have a 1 year old daughter that he gets along with great, he gives her kisses sometimes and when she cries he immediately goes to her side or comes to get us. We have plenty of toys, food, a harness, raincoat, and a cage to send with him wherever he ends up.

Canine adoption fee includes: Spay/neuter Age appropriate vaccinations Deworming Flea prevention (if required) Heartworm screening/monthly prevention ** Volunteer dog walkers work with our dogs 7 days a week. What your adoption fee also includes is housetraining, leash walking and a good understanding of the kind of home each dog would thrive in. ADOPTION FEE: $ 150 "People who say money can't buy you happiness, have never paid an adoption fee...." IS THIS DOG SAFE WITH CATS? There is almost always an acclimation period when a new pet joins the household. We are happy to suggest a few ways to ease the transition. If one of our dogs is reported to have lived with cats previously, that will be indicated in the dog's description! IS THIS DOG GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS? No dog loves every other dog, just as humans do not like every other human they meet. A proper introduction (meet and greet) would be required as part of our application process. IS THIS DOG GOOD WITH CHILDREN? The better question is how the children have been taught to handle animals. A dog will respond negatively if he/she is not being handled properly. We can offer suggestions on how to teach children to interact with dogs and pay attention to body language. Young children should never be left unsupervised with new dogs. WHY IS THIS DOG IN THE SHELTER? The top reasons dogs are given up are: Moving without considering the needs of the pets Death of the owner with no plan in place for the pets Previous owner did not provide appropriate training Owner did not consider the lifespan of a dog Owner did not consider the cost of providing for a dog Shelter

Story
Hans and his siblings came from someone with a lot of dogs. They didn't get any socialization as little pups, so they are quite skittish. Hans is the smaller of the 2 males. He has a beautiful white chest with a tail that curs over his back. He tends to hang back when the other dogs approach a human for a treat. He is a sweet dog who needs a lot of love, patience, and a slow introduction to new situations. What a wonderful experience it would be to bring him out of his shell. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Meet Rob...he was dumped by his owners, left alone outside for 2 days, and hit by a car. Luckily, he has no injuries. He seems ok around other dogs in passing when he is out for a walk. The volunteers say he whines when he sees other dogs so he may be ok if you have other pets. A meet and greet is always recommended. Please visit the Taylor Animal Shelter to meet him!
