Story
This beautiful girl is a five-year-old German Shepherd mix with a petite frame and the softest, most loving personality. She truly loves everyone she meets and greets the world with a gentle, kind spirit. What she wants most in life is to be with her person. She thrives on companionship and will happily follow you from room to room, content just being near the one she loves. She would do best in a home where she can be part of everyday life and receive the affection she so freely gives. She is currently heartworm positive, but the good news is that all treatment will be fully covered by the shelter. We are seeking a warm, loving foster-to-adopt home where she can rest, heal, and continue to feel safe and cherished during her recovery. If you have room in your heart and home for a devoted companion who simply wants to love and be loved, she is ready to choose you as her person.

Story
Say hello to this show-stopping sweetheart. Maliyo is a beautiful gentle giant looking for his new home. Maliyo is 6 years old. Maliyo is a German Shepard, husky and malamute mix. He rarely barks, is great on a leash, and loves to explore. He is overall a pretty chill laid back guy. The ideal match for Maliyo would be an active individual or couple who could take Maliyo on hikes or walks, or even someone who works from home as he prefers his person close by. A fenced yard would also be required. Maliyo will give you all the kisses and cuddles you will ever want, he’s very loving, and would also make a great addition to a home with other large dogs. Be ready to fall in love with this handsome guy.

Story
Raggedy Ann 's Story Meet Raggedy Ann 🐾💔➡️❤️ Raggedy Ann is a beautiful female German Shepherd, about 3 years old, who was found alone in the woods and clearly hasn’t known the care she deserved. She came to us in rough shape—thin, with severe skin issues, and evidence of long-term neglect. Despite all of that, she is nothing but sweet, gentle, and loving. She is currently on antibiotics for her skin (2 more weeks) along with weekly medicated baths. We are very hopeful this treatment will resolve her skin issues. However, if she does not improve, she may require additional medical testing (such as allergy or autoimmune testing). ✨ What we are looking for: • A foster who can give her a quiet, loving place to heal • Or an adopter who understands her situation and is willing to take on any future medical responsibility if further testing is needed 👉 Important to know: • If Raggedy Ann is adopted, any further testing beyond her current treatment would be the adopter’s responsibility • If she goes into foster, the shelter will continue to cover medical care to an extent Our biggest goal is to get her out of the kennel. Waiting two more weeks in a loud, stressful shelter environment could really impact her mentally—we don’t want that for her. She deserves peace while we help her heal. 🐕 Raggedy Ann at a glance: • 53 lbs • Dog friendly • Cat friendly Show more

Story
Winston is ready to find his family. Winston is a handsome 4 year old boy who will bring a smile each day.  He is an active dog and was part of the running club at the shelter.  He has done great in his foster home with training.  He loves to learn puzzle games and is excelling  on his basic commands.  Winston wants to find a family who is committed to keeping him physical and mentally active. He would benefit from an adopter with GSD experience who is committed to continuing his training. He has done well with dog savy cats and the dogs in his foster home after slow introductions.  ##1674636##

Story
Carrots is an owner give up to our rescue. Below is the information her owner gave us initially. I have had Carrots for almost two years now. She has been the most amazing friend I could have asked for. She rarely barks and only lets out an occasional whine if she needs to go out or is wanting some attention. She’s a well behaved for a dog that lives her life with me in a small dorm and can only go out to play fetch or go for a walk when I’m not at class or work. She needs better. In general, she has been amazing for the hand she’s been dealt. I actually couldn’t be more grateful for how well she’s treated me as she’s grown to be near a full two years old!! I am having to part with her because she is still a puppy, and I’m a Junior in college struggling to work and commute on weekends when I have to, and give her the attention she deserves. She’s trained well. She sits on command, she can stay if you ask, she’s house trained, and she’s comfortable with her kennel if needed. She uses a harness for walks and does great. She was trained to walk on the left of you and she’s usually pretty good about staying focused. She has started the process of being an ESA certified dog but has not rec'd her second certification. Her previous owner said that she was around a child once and growled so we do not recommend her with small children. She has never been around cats so we cannot say whether she will or will not be okay arounds feline friends. She would make a great family member for an active family. If you would like to add Carrots to your home, please message us and we will send you an application. Carrots is being fostered in MS but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road! The adoption fee includes her medical for a health certificate and transport to you. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
