This handsome young pup is friendly with people and great with other dogs—he’s the kind of guy who wants to say hello to everyone he meets. On leash, Popsicle is easy to handle and happily trots along, stopping to greet his canine friends along the way. Like any puppy, Popsicle is still learning his manners. He can get a little jumpy when he’s excited and loves to play, but he settles quickly and is eager to please. With a little guidance and consistency, he’s going to grow into an amazing companion. Popsicle is a medium-energy pup who enjoys activity but also loves affection. He’s very food-motivated, takes treats enthusiastically, and absolutely soaks up attention. When spending time with him, he happily accepted pets on his head and neck, wagging his tail the entire time with his sweet, friendly demeanor shining through. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate young dog who is ready to learn and grow with you, Popsicle might just be your perfect match.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 1, 2026, 6:40 pm

Story
Champ became 1 year on May 21st. He is very playful and energetic. Champ is about 100-110 pounds but he is just a big mush. He love the outdoors, he enjoys playing fetch and soccer with the kids in the neighborhood. My family got Champ from a family friend when he was 12 weeks old and we instantly fell in love with him. Our babygirl was only a few months old and a premie. Her doctor told us that she would be on the smaller side and we are ok with that, however since Champ is such a big boy and he loves to play outside with the kids sometimes he is too much for her. Champ loves to run and play for hours and most tims the kids cannot keep up with him. My family and I are looking for a forever home for Champ, we are hoping to find someone who enjoys big dogs and has lots of energy to run, play, and welcome him in their home.

Story
Meet Tommy & Baby — a bonded pair searching for their fresh start together. ❤️ These two were part of a local rescue our team facilitated in Queens and have come such a long way since arriving in our care. Both are about 3 years young, good with other dogs, and great with children of all ages. Tommy and Baby are super fun, active dogs who also love to cuddle and be close to their people. They both have silly, playful personalities and truly enjoy life now that they feel safe and loved. Tommy is a handsome, confident boy who loves attention and adventure. Baby has made incredible progress and is no longer nervous or fearful. She has blossomed into a happy, playful girl who loves treats, affection, and showing off her goofy side. Because of their past, Tommy and Baby still need a very special adopter. We believe they were previously abused and mostly lived outside, so they will need continued structure, guidance, and understanding as they continue adjusting to life in a home environment. We are looking for someone with strong breed and rescue-dog experience who can provide them with the stability and leadership they deserve. These two truly bring out the best in each other, which is why we are committed to placing them together as a bonded pair. If you are interested in meeting Tommy & Baby, please submit an adoption application directly through our website. Please note: applications without proper breed and overall dog experience will not be considered.

Story
Darcy's Story Meet Darcy , a beautiful 4 year young girl with a heart as warm as the island she came from. Darcy was rescued from the Cayman Islands, and her sister Danielle has already found her forever home through us. Now it’s Darcy’s turn to shine and finally get the family she deserves. We’re told she’s a Dutch Shepherd/Collie mix, and she has the perfect blend of sweetness and playfulness. Darcy absolutely LOVES to play ball , she’ll chase it, bring it back, and be ready for the next throw with that happy, eager sparkle in her eyes. She also enjoys doing zoomies around the yard and then settling in for snuggles. Darcy has a quiet, gentle personality that makes her easy to love. She’s wonderful with children, great with other dogs, and happiest when she’s close to her people. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and devoted companion, Darcy just might be your perfect match. If you’d like to give this Cayman sweetheart her forever home, please submit an application at almosthomeli.org.
