Story
You won't find a more handsome, intelligent or silly boy than Sidney. He is about 3.5 years old and weighs 84 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Sidney does show some barrier reactivity, however, when the barrier is removed (whether it is a crate, fence or car window) he shows absolutely no issues. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system) He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney, email rookiesrescue@yahoo.com for an application

Story
Im looking to rehome my boy, his name is Thor he is a very happy and loving dog.He is a very energetic dog, really gentle with kids and understands English and Spanish.Unfortunately I have to move out from the place I leave and it would be very difficult to rent an apartment or place with a large dog and a toddler. So I would love to find a good family that will take good care of him.

Story
Coco Chanel Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY area Meet Coco Chanel. While not equally famous for revolutionizing women's fashion, our Coco Chanel is still quite the looker. She’s a 9-year-old female German shepherd weighing approximately 90-100 pounds. She responds to Coco and/or Coco Chanely. She loves playing with her toys and getting treats. She likes laying down next to you when you are watching tv and likes to be near her person as much as possible! Coco takes a while warming up to new people but seems particularly fond of men 😉 Children and strangers make her uncomfortable so a quiet, adult only household is recommended. It appears she gets along with smaller dogs, but larger breed dogs intimidate her. Coco likes to go for walks but can only do short distances. She has no experience with cats as far as we’re aware. She is spayed and UTD on all vaccines. If you’re interested in being the new forever home for this big, beautiful girl, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page or call the number listed below. Story
Eli Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY Meet Eli. This poor, sweet 2 ½ yr old male German Shepard was found several months ago with a pellet lodged in his spine. Somebody actually shot him!! 😡😢 Despite knowing only cruelty from humans in the past, Eli has thrived under the care of his current foster family. He is a very gentle and loving dog who gets along with other dogs of all sizes. He is also tolerant of cats! Eli is a happy boy who loves affection. He loves to nap, play with toys and take walks….where he will almost always stop to smell the flowers 😊 He is the type of dog that loves to sit and observe passersby. Eli is crate trained and enjoys milk biscuits, dipped in yogurt and/or peanut butter. He is neutered and UTD on all. Eli loves routine, which is helpful with his situation. He suffers from slight incontinence due to the pellet injury he suffered as a puppy, but this can be managed by scheduling his feeding and water intake along with his time outdoors. Eli needs, and frankly deserves, a family who is willing to accept his situation and help him navigate through his life comfortably. If you feel you are the right person(s) to love this sweet, deserving soul, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page or call the number listed below.
