Story
Rhett is a 7-year-old Shepherd mix who was surrendered by his owner after she moved into a senior care facility that does not allow larger dogs. Rhett is such a sweet boy who loves to snuggle into you and give kisses. He knows how to sit and take treats gently. Rhett is house trained and crate trained and we are told he has a particular affinity for men. He is good with children and plays well with most other dogs. Rhett is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.

Story
Mack is a purebred four year old Czechoslovakian Shepherd (similar to Dutch or Belgian Shepherds). He has had obedience training by the 203K-9 company and follows commands well. The breed is high energy and unfortunately we both work and cannot give him the amount of time he deserves to play and go out on walks. As we are a couple with two other dogs and a cat, we haven't been able to get them to all get along and therefore must find him a new home where he will get all the attention. This breed is often used for many jobs such as search and rescue, police, military, etc. He might not be young enough to start such programs at age four, but he would be great at them. He will make a wonderful companion to someone who has a large fenced in yard with no other pets or young children. We will require a visit to your home as it is extremely important to us that he is matched to the right new owner. Loyal and loving, he is an all around great dog like RinTinTin!

Looking for a family to call her own, she’s ready for a home with a big backyard, lots of activities, and perhaps some small humans, though she would be a good fit for most any type of household. Learning and growing every day, she promises to be a “good girl” as well as the life of the party! Possessing both brains and beauty, one look into those mesmerizing eyes and we guarantee you’ll be smitten. Stop by to meet the sweetest treat on four paws…we call her Trixie. *Trixie is not yet fully grown or completely housebroken*

Story
TRULY an all-around gentle, loving, perfect girl, Lucy will make one lucky family so happy!  Lucy, a 2 1/2  year old, 64 lb house trained Shepherd/Husky mix, is gentle and submissive with children of all ages, including toddlers, has a wonderfully even-keeled temperament, is happy to play during playtime and chill during chill time, is great with other dogs, takes treats so gently, has lovely indoor manners (no crate required), will greet you with a toy when you come home or wake up, enjoys a swim in the pool, rides nicely in the car, loves taking hikes, and makes an excellent footwarmer.  *Adopted as a baby, Lucy has a sister Cate. Although they can be separated, we'd love for them to stay together. They are losing the only home they've ever known due to a significant change in their dad's work schedule, which requires him to travel 2 weeks each month.* Lucy  is microchipped, vaccinated, and spayed, and her adoption fee is $600.   ##2079091##

This is a Courtesy Listing and has no affiliation with Petrescue. Please contact the owner listed below directly I’m a Lady but I love to get down and dirty! Looking for my fur-ever home to lavish my love and playfulness on. I will share my balls with you, I never go anywhere without them. I love to run, play and cuddle. No alarm system needed; I’ll keep those pesky squirrels at bay. I love to learn and additional training would be so much fun with you. I know how to sit, stay, “leave it”, and recall to my crate. I am potty trained and will let you know when I need to go out. Did I say how much I love to play with my ball? I love to play with other dogs my size and kids, I may get a little excited. Probably best in a home without cats or smaller animals. If you are interested in this animal, please contact misslady.baby2019@gmail.com

ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Sweet 9m old 28lbsPeanut from Puerto Rico.from Peanut fosters,is a smart, energetic, loving puppy. Within the short time we got to enjoy him, he has learned to sit and wait for his food during meal time. He loves his walks when it's time to go out with his brothers. He is so loving and loves to cuddle and give kisses. He has opened up to us so much and gave us love that we never knew we needed. He will be great for a family with kids because he loved our son. this puppy will be amazing to his new family.           All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
