Story
You won't find a more handsome, intelligent or silly boy than Sidney. He is about 3.5 years old and weighs 84 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Sidney does show some barrier reactivity, however, when the barrier is removed (whether it is a crate, fence or car window) he shows absolutely no issues. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system) He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney, email cox_ann@bellsouth.net for an application

Story
Meet Eli, a sweet two-year-old, 40 lb. German Shepherd with quite a story to tell. He was found down south with a pellet lodged in his spine...yes, that's right, somebody actually shot this precious pup! Despite knowing only cruelty from humans in the past, Eli has thrived under the care of his current foster family, now on Long Island. Eli is an incredibly sweet and affectionate boy who brings joy to everyone he meets. He loves playing with toys, taking naps, and going for walks—where he always takes the time to stop and smell the flowers 😊. Eli enjoys observing the world around him, making him the perfect companion for quiet moments or outdoor strolls. This happy guy is crate trained, neutered, and up to date on all his vaccinations. He has a soft spot for milk bones, especially when dipped in yogurt or peanut butter! Eli thrives on routine, which is especially helpful for managing his slight incontinence—a result of a pellet injury he suffered as a puppy. His condition can be easily managed with a consistent schedule for feeding, water intake, and outdoor time. Eli is also dog-friendly and tolerant of cats, making him a wonderful addition to a home with other pets. He deserves a special family who will embrace his unique needs and give him the love and care he truly deserves. Could you be the one to offer Eli a second chance and a forever home? **This is a courtesy post for PAWS Long Island. If you have specific questions about Eli or are interested in applying for him, please email adoptions@paws-li.org or call 631-306-4616. Story
Tiger is a sweet 1 year old gal that is ready to bring the fun to her new home. She enjoys her dog friends, she's smart, she LOVES people...and she has ready to be your 4-legged best friend. She will be a great time for walks around the neighborhood, hikes, playing around in the yard or park, and of course, she's a master couch snuggler. If this pup seems like a good fit for your household, we'd love to hear from you. Tiger is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested positive for heartworms and successfully undergone treatment. The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested negative for heartworms. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pup’s at the event! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Milly is about 12 weeks old and ready for a home to call her very own! She's very sweet, enjoys playing with other pups and loves all the nice people that she meets. She'll be a fun addition to any loving home. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. Story
Nola is an almost 2-year old, fun loving gal looking for a home of her own. She spent the first year of her life as a rambling farm dog where she had a terrible accident. She was found in a terrible state by some Good Samaritans who got her to the vet, she had a front leg amputated, and they're now fostering her until she is adopted. While she is missing a front leg, that has not slowed her down one bit. She is active, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is very smart. She LOVES to play and would enjoy another active dog that will be happy to play with her and won't be annoyed by her wanting to play with them. She is happy to ride in the car, would love to go for walks and hikes, is always up to play in the yard, and is good on the leash. Nola is the life of the party and if you're an active household looking for a pup that will be happy to be outdoors and active with you, we'd love to hear from you! Nola is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival.
