Story
(DOB 08/01/2023) This handsome GSD mix never quite grew into his ears, which adds to his charm!! He has a smooth and silky coat and a smile that will  melt your heart. Berkley is an active young guy who’s all about daily playtime, and fun adventures with his family. Whether it’s running around the yard, hiking through the trails, or playing fetch, he’s ready to make every day an adventure. This sweet boy is just looking for the right family to take him home and give him all the love he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion to share your active lifestyle and your heart with, Berkley is your guy!  Berkley is the ultimate toy sharer, and he LOVES playtime—whether it’s chasing tennis balls, showing off his best victory strut with one proudly in his mouth, or sharing a good game of tug-of-war. Berkley is still working on his leash manners, so a fenced in backyard is ideal for him!  He’s a tall boy, with big ears, with an even bigger heart, and who just LOVES being with his people. Whether you’re chilling on the couch, playing in the yard, or out on a fun adventure, Berkley is your ride-or-die sidekick! Berkley would do best in a home with older children who can keep up with his playful spirit. Berkley is also house and crate trained, which means he’s already got some solid house manners in place.   If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who will bring joy and energy to your daily life, Berkley is ready to be your new best friend. Come meet this charming guy—he’s ready to run, play, and make every day an adventure with you! As part of Berkley’s $325 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Berkely, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1887422##

Story
Leslie is a stunning 46 lb tri-colored shepherd mix with a show-stopping black mask that frames her deep brown eyes and gives her the most soulful expression. This beautiful girl may be a little timid when you first meet her, but give her a little time and you’ll discover one of the sweetest hearts around and the very best hugs. Leslie could stand to gain a few pounds to fully showcase her thick, gorgeous coat. With good meals and lots of love, she’s going to absolutely glow. She’s been doing well with her new canine friends at Saving Grace and enjoys having doggy companions by her side. Leslie is dreaming of a forever home with a patient, loving family who will help her build confidence and let her true spirit shine. Once she knows she’s safe, her gentle affection and loyal nature will make her the most devoted companion. If you’re ready to give this sweet girl the time and love she deserves, Leslie is ready to give her whole heart in return.

Story
Meet Saylor Saylor is very much in her puppy era and she’s leaning all the way into it. She’s a German Shepherd mix with a big personality packed into a still-growing body. Equal parts sass and sweetness, she’s the kind of girl who might steal your sock, initiate a game of keep-away, and then immediately decide she needs to be right on top of you for a cuddle. From day one Saylor made it clear that she has opinions. She’s confident, curious, and just a little bit spicy. That said, she also has a softer side she’s still figuring out. She can be shy at first and needs a bit of time to warm up, but once she does, you’re officially in her inner circle. At that point, you’re her person. Saylor is learning the art of snuggling, working on potty training, and discovering how to be a good house dog. Because of her herding-breed / working-breed roots, she would likely thrive with someone who understands working or herding dogs and appreciates both the brains and the sass that come with them. Structure, patience, and a sense of humor will go a long way with this girl. If you’re looking for a fun, clever, slightly sassy puppy who will absolutely keep you laughing and then curl up next to you when she’s done ruling the world, Saylor might be your match. Interested? Story
Juno is a 70 lb German Shepherd. She is a very smart, gentle dog. She enjoys being outside during the day and going for her evening walk in the neighborhood. She is up to date on all of her shots. She takes allergy medication but is otherwise healthy. My husband brought Juno home when she was 8-weeks old. He was her main caregiver until he fell and broke his hip. Due to my husband's declining health, which has significantly impacted his balance and ability to walk unassisted, Juno cannot move freely around the house. The majority of her indoor time is spent in her crate. I am my husband's caregiver, in addition to caring for Juno. Due to my husband's health and my recovering from surgery, we have made the difficult decision to rehome Juno. We are looking for a quiet, relaxed environment where Juno can receive lots of love and attention.

Story
During the eventful year of 2020, my good boy Echo was born in Cameron, NC along with his brother Ego! Echo will be 6 on March 13. Unfortunately his parents are relocating and the work schedule just won’t work with all the love and attention they need and deserve. Echo deserves a home where there is a place to run around, a toy to chew and devour, and snuggles to be had. Echo is a playful, sweet, and curious fella who loves to be loved especially if there is any kind of ball involved!
