Story
(DOB 08/01/2023) This handsome GSD mix never quite grew into his ears, which adds to his charm!! He has a smooth and silky coat and a smile that will  melt your heart. Berkley is an active young guy who’s all about daily playtime, and fun adventures with his family. Whether it’s running around the yard, hiking through the trails, or playing fetch, he’s ready to make every day an adventure. This sweet boy is just looking for the right family to take him home and give him all the love he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion to share your active lifestyle and your heart with, Berkley is your guy!  Berkley is the ultimate toy sharer, and he LOVES playtime—whether it’s chasing tennis balls, showing off his best victory strut with one proudly in his mouth, or sharing a good game of tug-of-war. Berkley is still working on his leash manners, so a fenced in backyard is ideal for him!  He’s a tall boy, with big ears, with an even bigger heart, and who just LOVES being with his people. Whether you’re chilling on the couch, playing in the yard, or out on a fun adventure, Berkley is your ride-or-die sidekick! Berkley would do best in a home with older children who can keep up with his playful spirit. Berkley is also house and crate trained, which means he’s already got some solid house manners in place.   If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who will bring joy and energy to your daily life, Berkley is ready to be your new best friend. Come meet this charming guy—he’s ready to run, play, and make every day an adventure with you! As part of Berkley’s $325 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Berkely, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1887422##

Story
Juno is a 70lb German Shepherd. She is a very smart, gentle dog. She enjoys being outside during the day and going for her evening walk in the neighborhood. She is up to date on all of her shots. She takes allergy medication but is otherwise healthy. My husband brought Juno home when he retired in 2016. She was 8-weeks old. He was her main caregiver until he fell and broke his hip. Due to Parkinson's disease, which has significantly impacted my husband's balance and ability to walk unassisted, Juno cannot move freely around the house. The majority of her indoor time is spent in her crate. I am my husband's sole caregiver, in addition to caring for Juno. Due to my husband's declining health and my upcoming surgery, we have made the difficult decision to rehome Juno. We are looking for a quiet, relaxed environment where Juno can receive lots of love and attention.

[DogName] is a COURTESY LISTING available for private adoption -- for more information, please contact the owner listed below. DO NOT apply through the GSRA website as this dog and owner are not affiliated with GSRA. Female German Shepherd, likely 1-2 years old, was abandoned and we have been taking care of her. We have had her checked by the vet and she is now up to date on shots and worming. She is eager to please, but has not had much training. We are working with her to on recall. Shes young with a lot of energy but does well on a leash. She does have a high prey drive. She is a beautiful dog with lots of potential but she will need someone who can dedicate time to train her and a fenced area to keep her safe. She has been started with crate training and she has done well with our other dogs (Miniature Poodle and Labrador). She responds well to our daughter that rescued her and our 8 year old son. She definitely has a guard dog quality and barks at strangers who enter our property. She would make a loyal companion and lifelong friend! Please contact us to meet Hazel or ask any questions. DO NOT apply through the GSRA website as this dog and owner are not affiliated with GSRA. I have the sweetest AKC German Shepherd. Luna needs a loving home! Im looking for someone with GSD experience. She is reactive to other dogs, meaning she barks at them when she sees them. However she is eager to learn and gets along with other dogs (mostly males) with the proper introduction. Im not home a lot with my work schedule and she needs more attention than I can give her.
