Story
(DOB 1/17/2015) Roxie is a lovable roll-polly and this adorable girl is on her weight loss journey and doing great with short, regular walks. She’s good on a leash, enjoys leisurely strolls around her foster family’s yard with their dogs, and doesn’t require a fenced-in yard at her forever home — just someone patient and committed to helping her stay on track with her healthy routine. Roxie is the trifecta of good behavior — she loves everyone she meets, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is gentle with kids. She’s also cat-approved! In fact, she enjoys following the cats around just to see what they’re up to (and yes, it’s as cute as it sounds). She’s calm, friendly, and always ready to make new friends wherever she goes — especially if that includes a car ride, which she absolutely loves! This lovely lady is completely housebroken and goes potty every few hours like clockwork. She hasn’t had a single accident in her foster home and is quiet, well-mannered, and trustworthy when left alone. No mischief here — just a gentle, grateful soul who enjoys her naps and snuggles. At bedtime, Roxie curls up in her doggy bed and sleeps soundly through the night without a peep. Roxie is all about affection — belly rubs, pets, snuggles, and cozy cuddle time are her love language. She’s always smiling, always happy, and always lovable. Whoever adopts this charming older girl will be incredibly lucky. If you’re looking for a calm, easygoing companion who will bring warmth, joy, and unconditional love into your home, Roxie is your girl — ready to spend her golden years surrounded by love. As part of Roxie's $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Roxie, you can complete an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.   ##522498##

Story
(DOB 08/10/2021) If you are looking for a GREAT family dog, you better check out Bonita!! She’s wonderful with children and will gladly snuggle with them all day if given the chance. Her affectionate personality extends to everyone she meets; she's friendly with strangers, other dogs (she does love other dogs!!), and even cats. Bonita, is affectionately known as BB, because of her sweet, easy-going personality who just wants to be close to her people. She’s more than a pet—she’s a loyal friend, a gentle soul, and a heartwarming presence in any home. Her calm, gentle nature makes her an absolute delight to be around. She is a good choice for a first time doggie person, too. While not high-energy, BB enjoys her outdoor time and does well in public outings and loves going with you on car rides. BB does not require a fenced in yard as long as her fur-ever family has time to take her out for daily strolls and potty breaks. Because of that, BB would be fine in an apartment, condo, or townhome. She is talkative at times, and it is very adorable. She'd be happy with another doggie friend in the home, but it isn't a requirement. When her family leaves the house, she goes into her crate without fuss and waits patiently for their return. Other than that, she is very, very good in the house and is out and about when her family is home. House-trained and crate-trained, BB has never had an accident indoors. She sleeps peacefully through the night in her crate or curled up with her foster kiddos (probably, her favorite place to be). During the day, she’s just as content lounging on the couch or snoozing under your feet. She doesn't have much interest in toys, but she’ll never say no to a tasty treat. Who doesn't?? BB's shiny, silky, black coat, her great smile, and ears that you just can't miss make her absolutely beautiful. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a lovable girl, BB is really going to make someone very happy and very much loved! As part of Bonita’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Bonita, you can complete an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2459769##

(DOB 08/01/2023) This handsome GSD mix never quite grew into his ears, which adds to his charm!! He has a smooth and silky coat and a smile that will  melt your heart. Berkley is an active young guy who’s all about daily playtime, and fun adventures with his family. Whether it’s running around the yard, hiking through the trails, or playing fetch, he’s ready to make every day an adventure. This sweet boy is just looking for the right family to take him home and give him all the love he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion to share your active lifestyle and your heart with, Berkley is your guy!  Berkley is the ultimate toy sharer, and he LOVES playtime—whether it’s chasing tennis balls, showing off his best victory strut with one proudly in his mouth, or sharing a good game of tug-of-war. Berkley is still working on his leash manners, so a fenced in backyard is ideal for him!  He’s a tall boy, with big ears, with an even bigger heart, and who just LOVES being with his people. Whether you’re chilling on the couch, playing in the yard, or out on a fun adventure, Berkley is your ride-or-die sidekick! Berkley would do best in a home with older children who can keep up with his playful spirit. Berkley is also house and crate trained, which means he’s already got some solid house manners in place.   If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who will bring joy and energy to your daily life, Berkley is ready to be your new best friend. Come meet this charming guy—he’s ready to run, play, and make every day an adventure with you! As part of Berkley’s $325 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Berkely, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1887422##

Story
Name / Breed / Age: Cinder, German Shepard mix, Adult Personality Traits: The Wallflower Likes / Dislikes: Cinder loves to play in the yard with her foster siblings. Cinder dislikes chaos/crowds Health and behavior history:  Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and will be spayed. Clean bill of health from the PIPs Vet! Meet Cinder! Cinder is a lovable, playful Shepherd mix who’s happiest when she’s spending time with her adult family members. She’s full of joy, always ready for a game, and she starts every day with her signature “boo-woo!” the moment you come downstairs. She adores fruit and crunchy carrots, loves going for walks, and is always excited for a car ride. She’s both crate trained and potty trained, making her a wonderful, well-mannered companion.       Cinder has made incredible progress in her training. When she first arrived, she was nervous around leashes, hesitant with her food bowl, and unsure about getting into the car. Now, she’s confident and loves mealtime, going on walks, and hopping into the car for rides. Cinder tends to form her strongest bonds with women, but she warms up to men beautifully once she’s had a little time to feel comfortable. She isn't a fan of little children, but she can absolutely mind her manners when young visitors stop by. With her e-collar on (no zapping ever needed) she responds well to the vibrate setting, and often just wearing it keeps her calm and on her best behavior in her crate. Cinder loves other dogs of all sizes and is cat friendly. She would really thrive in a home with another dog to play and share her days with, but she also makes a fantastic only dog, happy to be the center of attention. Affectionate, fun, gentle, and eager to be part of the family, Cinder will bring laughter, love, and the sweetest morning greetings to any adult household lucky enough to have her. ##2303785##

Story
Janet Jacket was rescued from a neglect situation. Unfortunately the family who rescued her fell on hard times and is losing their house so Janet now finds herself homeless again. Janet LOVES dogs, kids, and is good with cats. She's the total package. And she's athletic. So athletic that she can jump her family's chain link fence so she needs a nice tall fence to keep her safe. But don't worry, she doesn't jump on people! She'd love a family to take her on long strolls and play fetch with. Could that be you? Janet is heartworm positive, but her treatments are covered so don't let that scare you away. Apply today! This is a courtesy posting so she's not an official member of All Good Dogs Rescue, but obviously she's a good dog!
