Story
Jaxx is a three (3) year old German Shepard. He is completely house trained and very energetic. He loves the outdoors and being able to "stretch his legs". He obeys basic commands as well as others such as "potty", "inside" (when it's time to return indoors) and "paw" when a handshake is needed. Due to our unpredictable and adjusting schedules (law enforcement), it has become difficult to give Jaxx the time he deserves. He is a great dog and an even better companion.

Where do I begin? Franklin joined our family about 5 years ago. He loves giant sticks, balls, long walks, and runs. He loves for you to chase and play. He listens for the most part. Can sit, lay, and shake hands. I would hope he can find a home with plenty of running room. He loves being out side and inside . Loves car rides and being on the go. Upon adoption franklin will be a great loss for our family. Health issues has brung me to this site I want to be sure he is taken care of.

Story
Zeus is as handsome as his name conjures up. If you are a GSD lover, he will likely grab hold of your heart instantly.   Zeus has some wonderful personality traits; he is smart, obedient, and eager to please. Since Zeus is smart and inquisitive, he needs a family that will not only keep him physically active, but also keep him mentally active. This can be through scent games, interactive toys, hide & seek, learning new commands through positive reinforcement training, and much more.   He loves being outside and going on walks. Since he so handsome, he will definitely be a head turner when out and about on daily strolls. Zeus does walk nicely on a leash and has meet some doggie friends along the way. He is looking for an active family and someone who wants to walk, hike, jog, run and get out each day for some cool activities. In addition, he'd really prefer someone who is home a good amout of the day, work or school from home kind of thing would be great!   He would be good as an only dog in the home and when meeting new pups is one that is slower introductions are is preference. In his foster home, he has been introduced to the smaller dogs on leash (since he is bigger pup), so hasn't been off a leash around them yet, but he sniffs around them and has been well behaved. Zeus has been good with the kids he has meet but hasn't had an opportunity to meet any cats.   Zeus would love a fenced yard; he does love being outside, so a home with a ~5ft fenced is on his list of requirements. He is still playful and enjoys toys, fetch, tug of war, and goofing off with his people. He is a happy boy that will settle in and give you a daily dose of love and kisses. Even with his size, he is gentle and sweet and is happy to be near you but not on top of you.   FYI - Zeus is already house broken and crate trained another 2 boxes to check off! He sleeps nicely in his crate next to his humans.   As part of Zeus’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Zeus, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1987411##

Story
Stella is the sweetest girl. She loves everyone. A few things about her: -Adopted in 2021 as a puppy, her birthday is February 14, 2021 -Super smart and learns quickly. Has been to board and train and knows all basic commands. -Excellent on leash when not in crowded environments -House trained and crate trained. Crate can come with her. -Does well with our small child. She is gentle with him. -Has great recall, will come when called even when off leash -Lots of energy. She needs exercise and attention. Someone with another dog or a large yard would be perfect for her. -Does well in the car, does well in the crate, and does well when being boarded. We wish we could keep her as she is a perfect family dog but we just don't have the time she needs. We are unfortunately traveling too much to give her the attention she deserves.
