Story
Meet Mila 🐾 Mila is a stunning 2-year-old German Shepherd with a big heart to match her big size! At 105 lbs, she’s a strong and beautiful girl who has already been through more than most dogs her age. Before being rescued, Mila came from a very rough situation where she was malnourished and not properly cared for. Despite everything she endured, this incredible girl still managed to raise and care for her five puppies like the devoted mama she is. Thankfully, a kind rescue angel stepped in and gave Mila the chance she deserved. Now that she’s safe, healthy, and getting the care she needed, Mila is showing everyone what a wonderful dog she truly is. She is extremely smart, eager to learn, and great with other dogs. Like many German Shepherds, she thrives on connection with her people and would love a home that will continue helping her learn and grow. Mila has proven she is resilient, loving, and loyal. After spending so much of her life just surviving, she’s ready to finally have a family of her own where she can simply be loved, feel safe, and enjoy being a dog. ✨ Smart 🐶 Great with other dogs ❤️ Loyal and loving 🏡 Ready for her forever home Mila has already been an amazing mom—now it’s her turn to be someone’s baby. If you think Mila could be the perfect addition to your family, we’d love for you to meet her! 🐕💕 Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/dogs

Story
Meet Mac! 🐾 Looking for a perfectly trained dog who has great manners and never makes a mess? Yeah… that’s not this dog. 😅 Mac is a lovable goofball who is currently majoring in Chaos with a minor in Home Remodeling. He’s not potty trained, not crate trained, and thinks the house is one giant chew toy. Shoes, pillows, paper… if it exists, he’s probably tested it. He also gets so excited about life that he sometimes nips during play, because apparently humans are just giant squeaky toys. The good news? He’s young, full of personality, and with structure, training, and patience, he has the potential to become an amazing dog. He just needs someone who understands that good dogs aren’t born… they’re trained. So if you have experience, a sense of humor, and maybe furniture you’re not emotionally attached to, Mac might be your perfect project pup. Adopt him and one day you’ll be able to say, “Remember when you used to destroy everything?” …and he’ll pretend he has no idea what you’re talking about. 🐶 Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/dogs

Story
🐾 Meet Charlie – A Smart, Loyal Shepherd Looking for the Right Match 🖤🐾 Charlie is a young German Shepherd with all the intelligence, loyalty, and drive that make people fall in love with the breed. She’s potty trained, knows how to “wait” patiently for her food, and absolutely loves a car ride with the windows cracked. With her people, she is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and devoted. Like many working-breed dogs, Charlie needs to stay busy and have a job or duty...in the right home, she has the potential to truly thrive. Charlie will need a very specific environment to set her up for success: • Adult-only home (no young children) • No cats or small animals • Experienced dog owner, preferably with German Shepherd or working breed experience • Someone committed to continuing structured training and management Charlie has shown that she can become overwhelmed and reactive in certain situations, especially around children and cats. Because of this, she needs a calm, controlled home where her boundaries are respected and she can feel secure. She also struggles with crate anxiety when left alone and will need patience and a thoughtful plan to help her build confidence. The good news? Charlie is highly trainable, eager to learn, and deeply bonded to her people. With the right leadership and consistency, she has all the tools to become an incredible companion. Charlie isn’t the right fit for every home—but for the right person, she could be an amazing, devoted partner. If you’re a German Shepherd lover who understands the breed and is ready to give Charlie the structure and guidance she needs, she just might be your perfect match. 🖤 Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/dogs
