All I need is someone who will give me a little patience at first, and then I promise I’ll give you my whole heart and follow you absolutely everywhere forever 🥹 So what do you think? Meet Dodger. He was saved from an overcrowded shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia. He is now fully vetted, neutered and all vaccines. Dodger did test positive for Ehrlichia before he came to us and was put on a regime of doxycycline. He should need no further treatment and has no symptoms. He loves to play with other dogs and would benefit from another dog in the household. Not yet sure on cats. He is a friendly guy but young children may nut he a good fit due to his exuberance . I do prefer a fenced yard for Dodger so he can play and burn off energy. His foster dad has been working on commands with him and Dodger is a quick learner and doing great. His adoption fee is $200. Rock is a young very energetic dog. He is a great guard dog. He is a perfect family dog. He has grown up around my other dog who is four years old and they get along great. Rocky goes for about 4-5 walks a day. And runs about every other day. I would love for Rock to go to a family or maybe like a farm where he could run and have a lot of freedom. I got Rocky when he was only a few weeks old, he was a rescued dog. He has a chip and he is neutered. I think wherever Rocky goes he might be uncomfortable the first day or two, but once he gets to know the person or family adopting him he’ll fit right in. coming from a very loving home. I moving to a community where German shepherds are not allowed so Im hoping I can find a nice home for him. He is about between 40 to 60 pounds 5 1/2 tall when standing and a goofy dog.

Meet Zenna! Zenna is a 1-year-old female German Shepherd mix! She weighs 48 pounds, but we suspect still has some filling out to do. Zenna totally has a German Shepherd personality and a big bark. She is crate-trained and potty-trained. She was rescued from an Ohio pound and came to us with a lack of understanding of rules and boundaries. Foster mom and family have worked very hard to instill rules and boundaries. She is young and still learning, so she will need someone to continue to work with her and be willing to take her to a trainer. We are looking for an active person or family with large breed dog experience. She loves other dogs, but can be a lot for them to handle, so they need to be good at playing! She is good with kids, but unfortunately, she does not care who is standing in her way and will plow you down, so we are looking for a home with kids over 8. She will chase the cats if they run from her, but she is not being aggressive; she just wants them to play with her. If the cats don't run, she doesn't chase. She will also be good as an only dog as long as you are willing to entertain her. She is gogogo, but will eventually settle down into a routine. Meet Scott! 🐾 Scott is an adult German Shepherd with a very sweet heart and a very smart mind. He knows basic commands like sit and enjoys learning and engaging with his people. Scott loves going on walks, playing games, and will happily invite you to join in on the fun. When playtime is over, he’s just as happy soaking up affection, especially pets and belly rubs. With his loyal nature and playful spirit, Scott would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for both an active and affectionate best friend. Scott is a mix of two working-breed dogs, which means he will likely need ongoing training and consistent mental stimulation throughout his life. He did begin basic obedience training through our prison program; however, his strong dislike of golf carts caused his training to end earlier than planned. Scott will thrive with a confident, experienced handler who understands the needs of working breeds—both mentally and physically—and can provide the structure, engagement, and guidance he requires to succeed. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog.
