Story
Meet Daisy Daisy is a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing about 65 pounds, with a gentle soul and a calm, loving presence. She’s a sweet and slightly shy girl at first, but once she feels comfortable, her playful side shines through. Daisy is truly a couch-potato at heart and loves long naps, making her a wonderful companion for a relaxed home. She enjoys spending time outdoors sniffing around and exploring, especially in a yard where she can run independently at her own pace. While Daisy gets along well with other dogs and does fine at the dog park, she prefers solo adventures rather than rough play. She is protective of her family and very loyal to the people she loves. Daisy is house trained, crate trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. She does have a history of chronic ear infections and will need simple weekly ear cleanings at home to keep her comfortable and healthy. Her experience with children and cats is currently unknown, but she has shown herself to be adaptable and would likely do best in a home with a private yard or easy access to a nearby dog park. Daisy came to us as an owner surrender and is now looking for a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and relaxed. If you’re searching for a low-energy, loyal companion who will happily nap by your side and keep a watchful eye on her home, Daisy may be the perfect match for you. . She is available for adoption on February 14, 2026 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA. KL 16182 ##2655814##

Story
Everyone....meet Koal <3 This handsome boy is estimated to be 2 years old and weighs 62lbs, Koal is German Shepherd mix who is smart, energetic, and playful. Adopting Koal (sometimes called Koaly Bear) means you have a best bud who can entertain you as he plays with his stuffies and melt your heart with his beautiful brown eyes. So, what are the requirements for Koal?-Home: single family home, condo, or duplex with a fenced-in yard for him to run (essentially no large apartment buildings)-Kids: there are not kids in his foster home, but he's met a 6 year old and done well-Dogs: gets along with most dogs but can be somewhat selective with larger dogs. (He has done exceptionally well with the other dogs in his foster home, which range from 25-40lbs.)-Cats: unknown-Housetrained: Yes!-Cratetrained: Yes! (His adopter must continue to use a crate so that Koal does not find his way into mischief.)-Neutered: Yes!-Vaccinated: Yes!-Microchipped: Yes! Koal is a certified good boy in many ways - smart, sweet, minimal jumping, and does his potty business outdoors like a champion. And, as with mostly all dogs, he has room for continued training. Please be willing to work on things like leash training with Koal. If you have a yard for Koal to toss around his toys and a couch for him to chew his bone and/or snuggle up, then you may be KOALified to adopt this handsome boy. He is available now thru Paws Across Pittsburgh, KL 16182. ##2619071##

Meet Barrett, a loving and friendly boy who is sure to capture your heart! Barrett was brought to the rescue as a stray however after being posted on social media it came to our attention that the person who brought him in claiming to have found him was his actual owner who had had him since he was a puppy. Luckely people in the community who knew Barrett was able to give us information to help in find a new forever home. Barrett a male German Shepherd was born January 2018. He apparently enjoys playing fetch, loves children, does well with other dogs however he is not a fan of cats. Barrett weighs 100 lbs, is house trained, he was already neutered and is now current on vaccines. At the rescue he has been friendly and cooperative with all the volunteers He is an adult dog, so he has a calm and gentle nature, but don't be fooled – he still has plenty of energy and curiosity to keep things interesting!
