Meet Wesley! Adoption Fee: $449 includes transport Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Wesley is a handsome, happy-go-lucky dog who never meets a stranger. He was found as a stray, and a kind family took him in, made sure he was neutered, brought up to date on vaccines and preventions and gave him the care he needed. Now, he’s ready to find his forever family through Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue. Wesley loves everyone he meets and has a big, goofy personality! He’s a little clumsy and doesn’t quite realize how big he is, so while he means no harm, he could easily knock over small children. He enjoys the company of other dogs with proper introductions and hasn’t been tested with cats yet. This boy is full of energy and would thrive with an active family who can keep up with him. Multiple walks a day, playtime, or a large yard to run around in would make him one happy pup. Wesley is also very food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. With the right family, Wesley will blossom into the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate dog who will bring endless joy to your life, Wesley might just be the one! Wesley is just over 1 year old and weighs just under 40lbs. Here's the adoption application, please copy & paste. https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 **To see all of our pets available for adoption, please copy this link. https://www.petfinder.com/search/pets-for-adoption/?shelter_id%5B0%5D=AL450&sort%5B0%5D=recently_added Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Story
Scarlett is a beautiful 6-year-old German Shepherd with a sweet soul and a youthful, puppy-like energy. At about 70 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of sturdy and snuggly, and she absolutely lights up when she’s around people. She’s also a fantastic car buddy—Scarlett loves car rides and will happily put her head out the window to feel the breeze. After the recent passing of her owner, Scarlett’s world changed quickly, and she’s been working hard to adjust. She’s fully house trained and is currently brushing up on her crate training while she settles into a new routine. She would thrive with someone who can offer patience, consistency, and a calm environment as she rebuilds her sense of security. Scarlett is best suited as the only dog in the home, as she hasn’t had much socialization and can be unsure around other animals. She hasn’t been around children enough for us to know how she would do, so an adults-only household may be the most comfortable match for her right now.

Story
Foster Salty Belzoni Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Foster loves playing with his toys and relaxing outdoors. He is great on leash and stays right by your side, though he will want to chase small critters. Foster prefers to be the only pet in a calm adult home with grown children, as he does not like to share, especially his food. New places and car rides can make him anxious, but once he settles in he enjoys adventures. At the end of the day he is a big cuddler who wants to be close and keep his people safe. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Be sure to check our Facebook page "Rhode Home Rescue" for details on upcoming events and other announcements.

Story
Adoption Donation   $ 299 Located:  in RI  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details ) Age: approx @3 years old  Weight: 50lbs     Layne is a beautiful 3ish-year-old, 50 lb golden girl. Layne came to us pretty timid and scared of the world but has since gained a lot of confidence. Layne lives with other dogs, kids and a baby. She is great around kids.  She is a sweetheart; she does still get timid when in new homes and away from the people she knows and trust. Layne is pretty quiet. She is the only dog in the house who does not bark at the mailman .  Layne does best being able to run free and watch the birds fly by so a fenced yard is preferred. She does chase after the bunnies in the yard so I would say no cats but she hasn't been cat tested.  She does prefer women over men but lives perfectly  fine with my husband (She will give him a bark every once in a while). She absolutely  loves mellow female dogs. Poor girl is stuck in a house with 3 obnoxious male dogs.  She loves playing fetch, going on walks and treat time. She loves romping around the yard with her four-legged foster brothers. She does well with senior dogs as well.  If you have lots of love and patience to give a former shelter/Kentucky street dog, a fenced yard, and another friendly pup, please reach out to set up a meet and greet with this sweet girl.    If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:    reginasfosterdogs@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters.
