Story
Laika and her siblings were born after her parents were left are Dr. Welton's clinic. She is an incredibly intelligent and spirited puppy with a personality that stands out from the rest of the litter. She has quickly proven herself to be the smartest of the group. Laika is highly observant and always paying attention to what's going on around her. She loves to keep up with whatever you're doing and make sure she doesn't miss out on the action. Much like her mother, Laika is independent, confident, and naturally outgoing. She has an adventurous spirit and loves exploring. Her curiosity and intelligence make her an incredibly fast learner, and she listens remarkably well for such a young puppy. She also has a wonderfully playful and energetic side that makes her so much fun to be around. She's the kind of dog who will thrive in a home that can match her energy and intelligence. Laika and her siblings have been DNA tested by Embark and are 100% German Shepherd puppies.

Story
Meet Maggie! Adoption Fee: $549 - Includes transport Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Maggie is a stunning purebred German Shepherd puppy who is only 9 months old and already looking for a second chance at the forever home she deserves. Maggie was purchased from a breeder as a young puppy, but her family quickly realized something important: puppies are work — and German Shepherd puppies are a LOT of work. This intelligent, active breed requires training, structure, exercise, patience, and commitment. Unfortunately, Maggie is now losing the only home she has ever known because her owners decided she was “too much.” We refuse to let Maggie be failed again. Maggie is a beautiful young dog with so much potential, but she needs the right home — one that understands the German Shepherd breed and is ready to invest the time and energy she deserves. Experience with German Shepherds or other working breeds is strongly preferred. She will thrive with an owner who can provide leadership, training, daily exercise, mental stimulation, and love. This sweet girl deserves stability, guidance, and a family that sees her as a lifelong commitment — not a temporary phase. If you believe you are the right match for Maggie and can give her the future she deserves, please send in an application to apply for her. 🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: COME MEET KIRA IMMEDIATELY! She is absolutely adorable, and currently accepting applications for the very important role of “people who will love her properly.” Kira is a very good girl with a huge heart, a sweet face, and the kind of personality that makes you immediately wonder how she ended up needing a new home. She was relinquished after her previous owner repeatedly let her run loose, where she made some poor choices involving neighborhood chickens. To be fair, Kira would like to state for the record that chickens are suspicious little dinosaurs, she was simply conducting field research, and no none ever taught her manners. Which is absolutely not her fault. What we know for sure is that Kira is loving, affectionate, and so happy to be with people. She has lived with kids, gets along with other dogs, and is the kind of girl who really just needs someone to keep her safe, contained, and set up for success. Kira is not looking for a free range lifestyle. She’s looking for a family, a secure yard or leash walks, snuggles, guidance, and maybe zero direct access to poultry based drama. She is sweet, beautiful, and extremely ready to retire from chicken investigations. HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: - Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely. Story
Meet Max ❤️ This loyal 5‑year‑old German Shepherd is the perfect blend of calm and playful—an easygoing guy who enjoys a laid‑back life but also loves showing off his happy trot when it’s time for a walk or when he gets excited. Max has lived peacefully with other dogs, is fully house‑trained and crate‑trained, and prefers a home that’s steady and predictable but still has room for light fun. He hasn’t met cats or kids yet, so a family willing to introduce new experiences slowly and respectfully would be ideal. Max’s journey includes a small medical piece, but it’s one that’s easily supported with consistent care. He has hypothyroidism, a common condition where the thyroid glands don't produce enough of the thyroid hormone. Treatment is straightforward—just a daily medication—and many dogs with this condition live long, happy, normal lives. Hypothyroidism can make dogs lower‑energy or prone to weight gain. He’ll thrive in a home that appreciates a slower pace, can keep up with his medication schedule, and wants a gentle, happy companion by their side. Apply to adopt Max today, or email dogs@rispca.org with any questions! 🐶

He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely adores people of all ages. Brooks is very gentle when taking treats and is always excited to be part of the fun. Story
Tigger is one of the best dogs in foster right now. A German Shepherd/hound mix, she was born around Christmas of 2025 snd she is truly a gift! Tigger is amazingly affectionate and loves to be loved. She is also good with other dogs. She crates up well and keeps her crate clean. Tigger is also doing well with house training. And she loves to chase a ball! Tigger and her littermates were abandoned on a dirt road at 6 weeks old, but thankfully they were found and have been loved on in foster care ever since. This sweetie is ready for a home where she isn't one of a litter of nine and can get a lot of attention and ear scratches.. Tigger is fully vetted with shots, microchip, spay, and heartworm prevention.
