Story
Meet Cooper Cooper is a stunning and wonderful purebred 3.5 year old GSD. He came from a junk yard two years ago. He is an escape artist. He would do best with a single owner, and could use a job, sport, or some sort of work. He would excel at any assigned task. Cooper was adopted a year ago but sadly, his owner unfortunately experienced medical issues that required him to surrender Cooper back to Lincoln/Cumberland shelter. We met and assessed Cooper, who reminded me a lot of my son's retired military working dog. He will take a bit of time to warm up to a new person, but once he has, in the case of the shelter staff, he is happy and playful. We prefer an adopter to have GSD or Malinois experience. He is not a famly-type pet. Cooper needs a person who understands this type of dog and he needs. His hips look great, and we saw no concerning behaviors. Thank you for choosing rescue.

Story
My dogs name is Axle he is a pure breed German Shepherd and such a. Good boy. He has a lot of energy and loves to cuddle with a constantly wagging tale ( it’s lethal) we got him at 6 weeks from a pet shop. He broke his leg and had surgery when he was about 6 months and is fully healed. He also has a chicken allergy which has been tough because he lives eating everything. He spends most of his time with our other dog (yorkie). He gets along great with kids I have two one of the main reason is my infant daughter axle shedding is affecting her breathing my son never had an issue (3year old) but not the same for her. We had to separate him and keep him in only one room away from her but it isn’t fair to him. It causes him to be anxious and stressed so then he itches. He deserves a home he can be in freely and not ina crate or sequestered to one room. He is an amazing pup who serves to be loved and taken care of. I’m not asking for money just a home that can give him love and attention

Story
Meet Kylie: A Survivor, A Mama, A SweetheartKylie’s story begins in the harshest of conditions. Rescued from under an abandoned home on a freezing cold day, this gentle soul was not alone—she was found huddled with her eight puppies, doing everything she could to protect and care for them. Kylie’s nurturing instincts kicked in from the moment she became a mama, showing boundless love and devotion to her little ones. Thankfully, she and her pups were given a second chance when they were rescued and brought into the warmth of a loving foster home. Now, Kylie is ready to share her heart with a family of her own. Despite her tough beginnings, she has blossomed into a calm, loving, and sweet dog who thrives in a home filled with affection and companionship. Kylie is great with children, currently staying with a 6-year-old in her foster home, and she has proven to be patient and gentle. Kids also come over and interact with her puppies on a daily basis and she is just great!Kylie is fully crate-trained and willingly enters her crate, making it a safe, cozy space when needed. She’s also housetrained, and although she’s rarely left alone in her foster home, she does just fine when she is. She walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides, making her an excellent companion for outings. Kylie is not a chewer, so she’s easy to manage indoors, and she’s perfectly content with a routine. One thing to note about Kylie: she is possessive of her food, so she’s best fed separately from other pets. But with this small exception, she is nothing but sweet and loving—always ready for snuggles, belly rubs, and moments of calm companionship.Kylie’s journey from survival to thriving is a testament to her resilience and loving nature. She is looking for a forever home where she can continue to be the wonderful, affectionate dog that she is—bringing joy and warmth to those lucky enough to welcome her into their lives. She so deserves a life filled with attentiveness, long walks and endless affection.Check out her amazing video montages:https://youtube.com/shorts/j2nNz_fV3T8?si=03-nL-0KfFggo1t6https://youtube.com/shorts/IWMtgNsinHc?si=1q-g366O9GQGe9eTAnd her relaxing on the couch with her foster sibling:https://youtu.be/tvHNoRXBI6E?si=sLO-B6kBU6Ig0S4oName: KylieBreed: German Shepherd Dog/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 67 lbs Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: on recent testing Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Ruby King! Ruby is a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her love for cuddles. Despite a rough start in life—being rescued after someone heartlessly threw her from a moving vehicle—Ruby has shown nothing but resilience, love, and loyalty. This sweet, medium-energy girl adores other dogs, plays well, and enjoys a good cuddle session. She's great with kids (ages 5+), gentle with elderly folks, and walks beautifully on a leash. Ruby is also housetrained and an excellent traveler, making her a perfect adventure companion.Ruby does have a few quirks—she's not a fan of cats (she'll chase them!) and gets nervous during storms, preferring to snuggle under the covers. But with love and reassurance, she'll always be by your side. Her ideal home?A loving family with or without other dogsA cat-free home Ruby is already spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vet care. Still, she tested positive for heartworms, so she'll need a family willing to continue her treatment. Paws New England will provide assistance and support. If you're looking for an affectionate, intelligent, and brave companion, Ruby awaits you! Interested in adopting Ruby? Story
Meet Rover...a big, happy, friendly, affectionate, playful 5 year old, 102 pound, 94.8% German Shepherd who is up for adoption. When rescued last August, he weighed only 66 pounds, very emaciated in his backyard. A foster stepped up and provided him a safe place to complete all the care all he needed. They gave him so much love he is now 102 pounds and a very happy boy. Now healthy and happy, he is so very playful and energetic. He even acts younger than his age, and he thinks he is a lap dog!!! He went through HW treatment with no issues and did very well when he had to be on restrictive play time. He does love to play but he also knows when he has had enough and will find a comfy spot to nap.Rover just loves people; he is a little ham who loves to go to the pet store and meet all the pet owners. Due to his size, and that he has never lived with a child, we feel he would be best with children over 7, after all, he loves laps!!He is great with dogs, he shares his foster with other dogs. He spotted the neighbor cat and started to chase, so he needs a home without a feline.Rover is already for a new family who can continue to show him love. He is house trained and crate trained, he will go in his crate just to nap. He will need continued leash training, he is 5 and has never had anything around his neck besides a heavy chain, so now he is learning what leashes are all about. He has make progress just needs you to continue helping him understand. He was a little nervous in a car at first, but is now better; laying down quickly once inside.Rover is truly a gentle giant who is so lovable and handsome. And those ears!!!!Can you give this great guy a home?Check out videos of this boy in action:https://youtube.com/shorts/lpIc1yGz3Rghttps://youtube.com/shorts/MLVK4fQHlmUhttps://youtube.com/shorts/AInZ-vHn7rIName: RoverBreed: German Shepherd DogSex: MaleAge: 5 yrs 7 months as of 2/27/25Weight: 102 lbs as of 2/27/25Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive on recent testing.  Has completed entire treatment!Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 8Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    Tennessee IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
Oden is a 108-pound bundle of love and loyalty who is looking for his perfect match! This gentle giant may be big in size, but his heart is even bigger. At 6 years old, Oden is a calm and loving companion who loves his people deeply and wants to be wherever they are. He’s never met a stranger, and he’ll happily greet everyone he meets with his friendly, outgoing personality. He loves spending time outdoors almost as much as playing with toys. Though his all time favorite thing in the world (beside his family) are car rides- he is obsessed! He also loves the snow. This handsome boy grew up with his sister and has transitioned well into a multi-dog home. He is very playful and he responds well to other dog social cues (sometimes needs a reminder from his humans that he is a giant and to reign it in). Loves attention and head scratches, as well as taking up as much space as possible on the couch.Oden is great with other dogs and gets along well in a multi-dog household. He’s also a pro at the vet, where his calm and easygoing nature make visits stress-free. He’s a toy-driven dog who loves a good play session. He is working hard on his leash skills.Oden is a bit stubborn, as most Shepherds are, but with an experienced owner who understands the breed’s intelligence and needs, he’ll thrive. He’s looking for someone who can give him the structure, routine, and attention he deserves while enjoying plenty of fun playtime together. What Oden Needs:- An experienced dog owner, ideally familiar with German Shepherds and their unique traits- A home with other dogs, or as an only dog where he can be the focus of attention- A family ready to provide plenty of mental stimulation, exercise, and playtime (he’s toy-driven and loves a good challenge!)- A structured environment where he can learn and grow with his new familyIf you’re ready for a big, goofy, lovable dog who will shower you with loyalty, affection, and plenty of fun moments, Oden may be your perfect match!Name: OdenBreed: German ShepherdSex: MaleAge: 6 yearsWeight: 108 poundsSpayed/Neutered: Yes Vaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative upon recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: UnknownGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownLocation of dog: New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATIONPaws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
