Story
Hi, I’m Eli. I’m a sweet, gentle puppy who’s just starting to figure out how great life with people can be. I had a rough start and was a little timid at first, but every day my confidence grows and my personality shines through more and more.I love playing and snuggling with my people and my brother, but I’m also learning how to entertain myself and settle in for quiet time. When I’m ready for a nap, I’ll sometimes head into my crate on my own, which makes me feel pretty proud. I’m still working on potty training, but I’m catching on quickly and doing really well when I’m taken outside.I’ve met a cat and was more curious than anything, and I haven’t met kids or other dogs yet, but I’m young, adaptable, and eager to learn. With a little patience, love, and guidance, I know I’ll make an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a puppy who is equal parts gentle, playful, and ready to grow into your best adventure buddy, I’d love the chance to be part of your family. My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! Story
Hi, my name is Beau! I may look like a big tough guy at 95 pounds, but deep down I’m a gentle, sensitive soul who`s learning how to trust again. I was adopted as a puppy and returned several years later. No one knows exactly what happened during that time, but when I came back to Pawmetto Lifeline, I was scared and unsure. Thankfully, the kind humans here gave me time, patience, and training—and I’ve come so far!I’m an active, intelligent boy who loves to play. Fetch is my favorite game, especially if there’s a tennis ball involved. I’ll even bring it back! I also enjoy nature walks, tug-of-war, and learning new cues—I’m working on Sit, Down, and Come, and I’m walking to the yard on a leash like a champ. I thrive on routine, and I’m very treat-motivated, which makes training super fun for me.My ideal home would be a quiet adult household with people who will give me space and time to get to know them at my pace. The best way to build trust with me? Play fetch! I prefer not to be touched right away—unless you’re offering a butt scratch, and even that should be on my terms.Even though I’m beautiful, big, and fluffy, I don’t like to share my things. If you allow me on beds or couches, I may claim them as mine and feel uncomfortable if you try to move me—so it’s best to keep boundaries and teach me that furniture is off-limits.Because of my sensitive nature, I’ll need multiple visits with a potential adopter so we can get to know each other slowly and thoughtfully. Once I trust you, I’ll be a loyal, playful, and loving companion. If you`re patient, dog-savvy, and ready for a unique and rewarding bond, I might just be your perfect match. Could you be my forever person? My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
