Story
Harper is a sweet tempered Shepherd/Lab mix, born approximately October 1, 2023 and weighs 55 pounds. She's going to be a big girl when through growing! She loves playing with the dogs in her foster home. She also loves napping in the sun and playing fetch. She hasn't met a cat yet but because of her gentle nature we think she'll want them to be her friend. Of course we will help with introductions. Harper is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and already on HW and flea preventative. Harper is working on her house manners and doing very well but is still a puppy and will need a family committed to continuing her training. Maybe a mom or dad that works from home or part time?. Please remember that puppies need a lot of time, patience, positive reinforcement, training and love. If you have that to give and want to meet Harper, please request an application! We adopt in the DFW area only (within a 1-hour drive from Terrell) as we deliver our pets to their new homes. A vet reference and a fenced yard appropriate for her size and breed are required.

Story
We sadly need to rehome our beloved Piper due to increased travel and life changes, making it hard to give her the care she deserves. Piper, a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix, is a medium-sized indoor dog who loves being near her people. While not overly cuddly, she's loyal and alert, making her a great guard dog. She can be slow to warm up but bonds deeply once she does. She struggles with separation anxiety but has a trusted local dog sitter. Good with children, Piper's reaction to cats and dogs is unknown but likely manageable with proper introductions. We seek a loving family who can provide her with attention and stability. If interested, please contact us for more details and a meet-and-greet. Crate and belongings included. Thank you.

Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Described as loving and obedient, Scooter responds to commands from formal training and waits at the door for permission to go out. Not uncommon to the breed, she cannot be in a home with cats, but she adores children and has lived in a home with a 2-year old who Scooter's very gentle with. Scooter walks great on a leash but will pull if she sees a squirrel. She does well with other dogs but will command all the toys as squeaky toys are her very favorite pastime.Scooter's family has had two untimely deaths and are no longer a ble to care for her, so they asked us to help find her a new home. they say she's an excellent watch dog, loves to give kisses and affection, is house broken and knows how to use a doggie door. She'll do great in an active family with a nice backyard and the time she needs to adjust to this change.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

A quick learner, he also knows Sit, Down and Kennel means bedtime. He'll do best with an active family or with an active family with another dog who matches his energy level. Typical of this breed mix, as both are working dogs. Shadow loves playing outside, but prefers to be where his people are. Shadow will need a nice size back yard to play in.
