Story
Mama Bear is the incredible mom who raised Birdie, Bailey, Brownie, and their sister after they were all found outside of the Specâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s corporate office. This sweet and gentle girl has been through a lot, and while sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a bit timid at first, she blossoms once she feels safe and loved. Mama Bear would truly thrive in a calm, patient home where she can learn that the world is a kind place and finally enjoy the love and comfort she so deserves. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ready to trade her days of worry for a lifetime of belly rubs, soft beds, and a family of her own. All HSDC, Humane Society of Dallas County, adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. Story
Bonnie may be the perfect dog to step into your waiting household. At nearly two years old, she has learned all her basic skills from sleeping in her crate to taking care of business. Listening and knowing when to â&#194&#128&#194&#156leave itâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 and how to shake are part of her best qualities. Part of a full household, Bonnie might enjoy the attention of a small household but has spent time with other pups in her litter. Once she spends time with her new family, Bonnie's energy level will settle into her new playtime routine. To get started, chewing on a bone will always be a favorite pastime. She still needs a few final checks with her vet before moving to her forever home. Bonnie will definitely enjoy getting quality cuddle time and having a warm bed, a loving family, and a happy home of her own. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. Chiba is a very sweet and curious dog who loves to play. She is 3 years old, 40lbs, a german Shepherd shar pei mix, she is very friendly and soft with kids, loves to play with other dogs, and can stand alongside cats that she's familiar with. I have to rehome out of respect for my fiance. Medically she's up to date with her vaccines and has zero ailments. She's very good at commands and learns new tricks all the time. She's an active enjoyer of walks and absolutely loves to run around and chase at the dog park. She's also a good runner who can run a 5k and match your pace. After some outside activity she will lay in her bed, chew a bone, and chew on her toys. She's a soft chewer. She loves scratches on the butt and a face massage with the palm of your hand. She will give out kisses of appreciation and will lay with you. Chiba is a very sweet and loyal companion who's ready to have fun. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Chiba, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet our energetic, shy, loving, sweet, people pleaser, Apple Jack. She is a 1.5 years old, 58 lb, Belgian Mallinois-Shepherd mix, with a growing physic, chocolate-brown shiny coat and a sweet disposition. Apple Jack was a rescue in a shelter who we couldn't say no to because she was only 19 lbs, very thin, and very shy when we saw her. We took her home and pampered her until she trusted us enough to eat healthy foods and gain a healthy weight where she is now. She is strong and her biggest attribute is that she a job seeker. She wants you to give her something to do. Apple Jack would love an active lifestyle as she just bubbles with a playful but loving spirit. She is a pup who loves to romp and play with other dogs and currently likes to play with our older 8 year old golden retriever-shepherd mix. She loves being around other dogs at daycare as well. She is not aggressive to other animals but would do better without a cat environment because she tends to want to play with them as well. If given the chance she would love to go with other dogs and run and play with sticks. She currently lives with 4 adults and occasionally will play with our 11 year old grandson. Her ideal home would be one where she could continue her training of tricks and have an active family lifestyle. Apple Jack is doing well with her crate training and just needs a little more attention during the day to play. She is one smart pup and just needs to know she is loved by her new forever home. Apple Jack is deserving a loving, kind, patient furever family home. Through no fault of Apple Jacks we are unable to continue to foster her as we are about to add a little baby to our home and cannot dedicate the time she needs for her activity and continued training. She deserves a loving home as she is so sweet and has a very strong desire to do a good job and please you. Could you be the perfect family for her? Please apply to adopt this sweet baby. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Apple Jack, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet Flash, a bright and energetic 4-month-old Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd mix. He’s playful, curious, and always ready for a walk, jog, or a game of fetch. Flash loves toys, enjoys exploring, and thrives with attention and consistent training. He’s crate-trained, knows sit and lay down, comes when called, and does well with other pets. Flash is affectionate, loyal, and alert—an ideal fit for an active household or experienced owner with yard access. Born in July 2025, he’s healthy, social, and full of potential. Due to a busy schedule, his current owner hopes to find him a loving home where he can get the time, structure, and engagement he needs to grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.
We'll also keep you updated on LAKER's adoption status with email updates.
