Kodak is a special German Shepherd that is in need of a foster and/or permanent home. He came to us as a stray with a severe tail injury that required amputation. He is estimated to be approximately one and a half years old, current on vaccines and heartworm negative. In his time under our care we have learned that he is a very loving and intelligent boy. Unfortunately, he has a very severe case of separation anxiety that requires someone to be with him at all times. He knows how to 'sit,' walks well on a leash and is kennel trained, despite not wanting to be away from his people. He does not do well with other pets, but is a very loyal and friendly dog where humans are concerned. Kodak would love nothing more than to have a loving home with people to call his own.

Ace loves to stay by the dinning room, and wait patiently for one of us to accidentally drop any food to the floor. Ace is potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go.

Tonka walks on a leash well, knows how to, 'sit,' and loves to play. He is crate trained and can be a bit protective of that space where other animals are concerned. Tonka loves to please, is easy to teach and is the perfect size to load up and go on any adventure.

This precious girl is Zelda, picked up as a stray by one of our officers and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 3/10. My Dog Scanner app suggests she has Beauceron in her breed mix. She is about 2 years old and weighs 48 pounds. Zelda is scared and uneasy in the shelter. She is very submissive and will come to you for comfort. This shy girl needs reassurance and to build trust and confidence. She wants so much to please and will stay close to a human friend. She has a sweet gentleness about her. Zelda is overtly affectionate and seems starved for attention. She walks ok on a leash but when she walks past dogs that are barking at her, she is intimidated. We will continue to spend time with her helping her to feel more comfortable and cared for and she will undoubtedly warm up. Zelda deserves another chance at finding a home in which she will be loved and a person or family who will stay committed to her.
