Story
Meet Summit! Summit is a handsome 2-year-old German Shepherd with a sweet heart and a playful spirit. He loves going on walks and enjoys staying active, making him a great match for someone who likes to get out and about. Summit is full of energy and can be a little jumpy at times, so he would benefit from some basic training and would do best in an adult-only home that can help guide him and continue building his manners. This smart boy is eager to learn and has all the potential to become an amazing companion with a little structure and consistency. Summit is not neutered yet, so he is currently available through a foster-to-adopt program until his neuter is completed.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Jetta! Jetta is a bright, highly trainable young dog who is eager to learn and loves having a canine companion. She and her sister, Lady, came from an unexpected litter. A year later, they sadly found themselves homeless. Lady has already found her forever home, and now it’s Jetta’s turn. We do believe she needs a companion playmate. Jetta has lived comfortably with three other dogs and small children, showing that she thrives in a family environment. With her breed mix, she’ll do best in an active home where she can enjoy plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. A fenced-in yard or an electric fence for supervised playtime would be ideal—she did very well with an electric fence in her former home. Jetta is housebroken when allowed indoors. She can be a little hesitant about car rides at first, but once she’s in, she rides along just fine. Jetta has not been raised around small animals or cats and tends to chase them outside, so a cat-free home is best. She was a family favorite at Pupapalooze and was gentle with children from start to finish. Jetta is waiting for a family who will give her the love, structure, and activity she deserves. She lives for playtime, thrives on companionship, and forms deep bonds with her people, making her an incredibly devoted best friend. While she may need some extra support, her joyful spirit, loving nature, and zest for life far outweigh her medical needs. Gingersnap is searching for an adopter who sees past her diagnosis and is ready to give her the love, patience, and commitment she deserves — and in return, she’ll give you unwavering loyalty and so much happiness.

Story
Happy is a 7-year-old, large mixed breed who truly lives up to his name. He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being close to his people and happily soaks up attention whenever it’s offered. Happy is potty trained and knows basic commands, making him an easy companion in the home. He’s used to being mostly indoors, can be left alone inside, and does well in a fenced yard. He enjoys treats and praise, which makes him a joy to work with and a great candidate for continued training. This gentle guy does well with small children, is often friendly with other dogs, and even likes cats and other small animals. He’s also done well around livestock such as chickens and goats—an impressive bonus for a large dog! On leash, Happy does tend to pull, so he’ll benefit from some leash refresher work and regular exercise. He has a naturally protective side, paired with a loving, cuddly personality that makes him a wonderful family dog. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who fits well into a family setting and already has great manners at home, Happy could be the perfect addition to your pack.Happy is a sweet, independent pup who enjoys doing his own thing. In the play yard, he’s more of an explorer—roaming the perimeter, sniffing around, and taking in all the scents. Every so often he’ll check in for a quick hello, and he’s easy to leash and pet, even if he’s a little nervous. We don’t know his full story, but it’s clear that Happy will thrive in a home that gives him patience, understanding, and the space to build trust at his own pace. With time and love, this thoughtful boy is sure to blossom.
