He initially became a Cause kid when his owner had to move and could not take their dogs. Luckily he found a loving home and lived a good life for several years. Tragedy struck this poor guy again when his loving human passed away and he came back to Cause for SB Paws. He settled into his new foster home and is now ready to try his luck again. Could you be his forever family? Chocolate German Shorthair Bruno is 11 yrs old and full of boundless energy. He definitely needs a home familiar with the breed or similar breeds. The GSP is known to be '...very athletic, have boundless energy and need to burn it while spending time outdoors. All activities are good: running, walking, swimming, toys retrieving etc. Never forget that even if you are not a hunter, this breed is designed for hunting, and it’s really perfect at it. At the same time they are wonderful family dogs and very protective of a family. They perfectly get on with other animals, get along with people. Joule is a 2 year old German short-haired pointer. He weighs around 60 pounds, so I don't know if he should be classified as a medium sized dog or a large dog. I kept up with his vaccinations during his first year, but needs new vaccines soon. He is not spayed or neutered, so that probably adds to his energy level. He is very friendly: he loves people and kids. He doesn't bite, but he is probably too rambunctious for toddlers and infants. I am moving away, and am unable to keep my dog.

While Boone has been part of our family, we’ve seen that as our young kids have grown and our home has become busier, he has become increasingly overwhelmed. We move every 2-3 years (military) and this last move proved to be too much for him. It was his 3rd move in his 5 years. He deserves a calmer environment where he can truly thrive and feel at ease.
