Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Handsome gentleman Bruno has run into some bad luck again!  He initially became a Cause kid when his owner had to move and could not take their dogs. Luckily he found a loving home and lived a good life for several years. Tragedy struck this poor guy again when his loving human passed away and he came back to Cause for SB Paws. He settled into his new foster home and is now ready to try his luck again. Could you be his forever family? Chocolate German Shorthair Bruno is 11 yrs old and full of boundless energy. He definitely needs a home familiar with the breed or similar breeds. The GSP is known to be '...very athletic, have boundless energy and need to burn it while spending time outdoors. All activities are good: running, walking, swimming, toys retrieving etc. Never forget that even if you are not a hunter, this breed is designed for hunting, and it’s really perfect at it. At the same time they are wonderful family dogs and very protective of a family. They perfectly get on with other animals, get along with people. Great for children.'So an active family is an absolute must, as well as a big yard to run, and other energetic, large breed dogs with which to romp and run and play.See his page here: http://www.causeforsbpaws.org/animals/browse  Apply here: http://www.causeforsbpaws.org/forms/form?formid=3251   Email cause4sbpaws@gmail.com with questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2026, 12:18 am

This is Kate. She is a beautiful, 5 year old, German Short Hair Pointer. She has an excellent temperament, very calm, well behaved, smart, and house trained. She is very committed to her person. She is best as an only dog. She is about 55 pounds. She walks like a dream on a leash and would be an excellent companion.

Story
We rescued Dakota about two years ago. She came from out of state along with her mom and siblings and most likely lived in an unpleasant environment. We fell in love with her because of gentle and loving demeanor. Dakota has learned to be a wonderful indoor dog. For being a high energy dog, she tends to be fairly relaxed while inside the house. There definitely is potential for her to be left alone though we didn’t do that often being that we have 2 high energy dogs. Even though we were warned about her hunting instincts, we took our chances and introduced her to our cat. We are glad we did! They have become very good friends! The reason looking to rehome her is because of her extreme athletic abilities. Her deep fear of fireworks prompts her to escape every time there are loud outdoor sounds. Even out of her crate. At this point, we’ve run out of ideas/resources to keep her safe and would love to give her an opportunity to thrive in a more suiting home.
