Story
Raine is a 10-month-old male who will shower you with love! He’s a sweet boy who gets along with his foster siblings (male and female dogs), does well with housetraining when on a good schedule, and likes to play like any young GSP! Raine does well in his crate for a few hours a day and enjoys older children. He wants a home committed to his training – people who have the time, patience, and energy to give him! Raine is ready to shine. If you enjoy training, enrichment, and exercise and are ready to bring out the best in him, Raine is ready to join your home and be your new best friend! Note: Raine has a slightly droopy left eye – it’s a condition called “idiopathic Horner’s Syndrome.” The cause is not known and it will most likely improve by itself over time. Monitoring by a vet is recommended. Our adoption process begins with our adoption questionnaire: https://norcalgsprescue.org/adoption-questionnaire/ (Please note that we adopt primarily within Northern California and our minimum age for kids is 6) If you'd like to see what Raine's been up to, check out his/her posting in the Available Foster Dogs section: https://norcalgsprescue.org/available-dogs/. That's where you'll find all the latest info about all of our available dogs. Story
Meet our pint-sized dynamo Gideon, at 7 years young he is the master of finding snug spots, even if it means claiming the tiniest corner of the room. You’ll often catch him cozying up in armchairs, making himself at home in the most adorable fashion and he is a true cuddle bug. Despite the occasional spillage, in true GSP fashion, from his water bowl, he’s tidy for a furry friend. Now, onto his latest escapade – the spin! Picture this: he’s giving it his all, twirling around with enthusiasm, mastering the art of the spin about half the time. It’s a work in progress, but oh-so-endearing to witness his determination. But wait, there’s more! Gideon is making strides in independence, willingly trotting into his crate, even with his trusted human out of sight. He also lets his human know when it’s time to head outside for his potty break. When it comes to outdoor adventures, he’s becoming quite the explorer. His recall is improving by leaps and bounds, and he’s gaining confidence in the backyard, especially with a watchful eye nearby. With each passing day, his outdoor excursions are extending, from a mere five minutes to a solid half-hour of supervised playtime. Yet, amidst all these triumphs, one thing remains unchanged – his vocal nature. This little chatterbox has a lot to say and isn’t shy about letting everyone know. But hey, who can blame him for wanting to share his thoughts with the world? If Gideon seems like he could fit into your life and family, please apply to adopt him today! He’s ready to make you very happy! Our adoption process begins with our adoption questionnaire: https://norcalgsprescue.org/adoption-questionnaire/ (Please note that we adopt primarily within Northern California and our minimum age for kids is 6) If you'd like to see what Gideon's been up to, check out his posting in the Available Foster Dogs section: https://norcalgsprescue.org/available-dogs/. That's where you'll find all the latest info about all of our available dogs. Story
Meet Emmett, your potential new best friend, and let me tell you, he’s a catch! Picture this: a happy-go-lucky fella, sweet as pie and ready to bring endless joy into your life. First things first, he is a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs, and with a little patience, he can cozy up to those tricky cats too. But hey, can’t blame him for wanting to chase a few birds? He’s a born bird dog, after all – it’s practically in his DNA! Now, let’s talk about his manners. Sure, he is still a young pup, but he is already a pro at the important stuff. Housetrained, crate trained, and riding shotgun in the car like a champ. And while he might need a bit of help with those basic commands like sit and stay, He’s got fantastic recall. You call, and he will come bounding back to you in a flash! Oh, and about those kids? Well, he hasn’t had much exposure to them, but we are sure he will charm the socks off any little humans aged 6 and up. With him by their side, they’ll have a loyal companion for all their adventures. So what do you say? Ready to add a bundle of joy, energy, and love to your life? Pick Emmett, and embark on a great adventure together! Story
Stix is here to wag his tail straight into your heart! He is a 10-month-old bursting with energy and excitement for life! If you’re into long walks filled with exploration and laughter, then you are a paw-some match. Whenever he sees other dogs, he gets super excited because he believes every furry friend is a potential playmate! He is crate-trained and absolutely adores car rides. There’s something about sticking his head out the window and feeling the wind on his fur that makes him feel like the luckiest pup in the world. He also is not shy about showing his affection – cuddle sessions are his specialty! He does need a little extra guidance in the potty department and honing his general learning skills. He is a puppy at heart, eager to learn and grow alongside a loving forever home. He thrives best in a home where he can be the center of attention, so no other dogs, please. And while we don’t know how much of a big fan of kids he will be, we think he would do best in a home with teens and above who can keep up with his boundless energy. So, what do you say? Are you ready to embark on the greatest adventure of all – the journey of companionship and unconditional love with STIX by your side? If so, let’s schedule a meet-and-greet and see if we’re a perfect match! Looking forward to the possibility of becoming your forever furry friend.
