Story
Max is about 5 years old. He is a very sweet and loving dog. He loves everyone, people and dogs included. Max’s favorite activities are going on walks, running in the park, chewing bones, long naps and staring out the window. He is a great, energetic family dog. He hates to be apart from people but can stay alone in his crate for a few hours if needed. Due to a new baby and lay off from job, we are unable to give Max the full care he needs. He would thrive in a home where he is always with someone or can tag along wherever you go. He would also love to have a dog brother or sister to play with.

Story
Meet Reba! Reba is a fantastic puppy who has so much going for her. She is potty trained and crate trained, does well in the car, and walks nicely on leash. She absolutely loves other dogs and is currently living with three adult dogs who are helping teach her the ropes of successful dog-to-dog interactions. Reba is very connected to her person, treat motivated, and incredibly smart, which makes her a joy to train. She already knows sit, down, come, stay, leave it, and out (to drop a toy) and is eager to keep learning. She’s also wonderfully easy to entertain and exercise. Reba loves to fetch — and actually brings the ball back! — splash around in the puppy pool, go for walks, and play with dogs of all ages. She is currently living with cats as well. Her interactions have been through the catio, where she has learned to approach them calmly. With continued guidance and training, she has great potential to live successfully with cats. Reba definitely has her playful puppy side, especially when the puppy pool comes out, but she also has this wonderfully thoughtful, almost old-soul quality. She’ll often simply sit in the yard or pause during a walk and quietly watch the world unfold around her. This girl is an absolute gem, and we can’t wait for her to meet the family who will keep her shining. ##2810014##

Story
Chopper is a 7½-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer with the energy and enthusiasm of a much younger dog. He’s affectionate, incredibly loyal, and loves being part of the family. He’s wonderful with kids, completely housebroken, and crate trained. He settles well in his crate and is comfortable spending several hours there when needed. Chopper thrives with an active owner who enjoys hiking, running, or spending time outdoors. As is typical for his breed, he has a very strong prey drive, so he is best suited for a home without small animals and with someone who understands sporting breeds. Chopper is being rehomed only because of a divorce and housing restrictions, not because of any fault of his own. He deserves a loving home where he can continue to be an active, devoted companion for years to come.

Story
We’ve recently moved to Sacramento from out of state, and it’s been a tough transition for her in our new place (particularly with no yard). Personality info: Very sweet dog who LOVES peopleGood with other dogs and kids but would do better in a home where she gets a higher percentage of the attention Loves exercise – walks, hikes, runsCan go to dog parks but mostly just barks for attention thereWould thrive in a home where she’s allowed on the furniture (including beds)Likes to cuddle all day long, really affectionate Lily is potty trained & knows how to use a doggy door to go independently Disclaimer: She is tall and quite adventurous when she smells food - so you need to be careful about what’s on your countertops that she could access! Carrot is a wonderful companion that loves playing with other dogs, loves her walks, and has a curious nature. Carrot is an extremely intelligent dog and can even open gates if she wants to. She loves tug of war, walks, hikes, and walks, and would benefit from an active family. She is a loyal dog that has the cutest head tilt when being talked to. Carrot does well with dogs and cats with a proper introduction and although she has never met any kids, she is suspected of doing fine. Carrot is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. All BWR dogs come with complimentary group or private training to help ensure a successful adoption.
