Story
Licking her lips in anticipation of her fosters’ affection is sociable 3-year-old Sea Biscuit. Nicknamed “Cecilia Biscotti” because of her sweetness, the 40-pound brindle beauty with the hypnotic amber eyes especially enjoys resting her head on her foster mom’s shoulder for the loving she craves. Talkative, goofy and wiggly, her ears are so velvety soft they remind her foster mom of angel wings, and she makes little satisfied groans whenever her tummy is petted! Highly and happily energetic, she runs like a bullet, enjoys going for walks and has been honing her leash skills daily. She also enjoys chewing bones, snacking on Milkbone treats and curling up in comfortable beds. Engaging easily with other dogs at previous playgroups, Sea Biscuit even gets along well with the resident cats. Motivated by food and love, she accepts all treats gently, currently knows “come,” "shake," and “sit,” sleeps in her crate when her foster mom sleeps and is almost fully house-trained. At work on her puppylike manners, Sea Biscuit will thrive in a loving home that will perfect her manners, continue her socialization, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her content, mentally and physically, fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $300.  Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Hello! I’m looking for a new home for my buddy, Callum. I rescued Callum in February of 2021 from an animal shelter. He’s cuddly, loving, and super energetic. When I relocated to Colorado for work we had to move into an apartment which has been hard with him having so much energy. I’d love for him to have a home with a yard where he can run and play. He does need leash training as he gets anxious on the leash. My job is now requiring a lot more travel leaving me gone for most of the month every month which means Callum is boarded often. Looking for an individual, or family that can give home lots of love and a yard to play in.

These pups are in Castle Rock, Colorado too!

0621031 ATTENTION - We Do Not Adopt Out of State - NO EXCEPTIONS  Disclaimer: All rescue dogs may have a percentage of pit bull or Staffordshire breeds in them. I need a single family home with a fenced in yard.         Hi everyone I want to introduce you to Jenna! Jenna is a pittie mix who had a tough start in life. She was born around 6/14/2016. She was found living under a sandwich board outside a construction site with her new litter. Now she is here in Colorado looking for a family to call her own. She is very sweet with lots of love to give. Jenna is great with cats (yes great with cats!) and kids, even the little ones.  She does resource guard, so it's important for her new home to understand that! She is affectionate and truly appreciates every scratch behind the ears or pat on her head. She is playful and loves her walks. Jenna is house and crate trained, she will just go right into her kennel and lie down. She never makes a sound while in her kennel and will sleep through the night in there. She is very strong and is wroking on not pulling on her leash. Would you like to meet Jenna? Maybe you are her forever family? I know she would love to meet you. ##1133475##
