Archer is just a pup at one year of age and hopes to meet an active, patient family as he develops his adult social skills. Pointer breeds have higher than average physical needs so he hopes you have a soft frisbee in your back pocket. Archer will only be rehomed to a family without children or with kids at least 10 years of age, and if considered for a multi-dog household, a meet at the shelter will be required prior to adoption. Story
Petra is a 1.5‑year‑old female, born October 30, 2024, and is a loving mix of German Shorthaired Pointer and Pit Bull, weighing about 50 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations except for an upcoming rabies booster. Petra has lived with me since she was just eight weeks old, and in that time she has grown into a playful, cuddly, and high‑energy companion. She knows her basic commands—sit, stay, settle, and is still working on come and heel—and she loves to “talk” when she’s excited. She loves car rides, and I mean LOVES! She did not grow up around kids so introduce carefully. Petra barks loudly during play and when new people come to the door, and she can be vocal toward other dogs while on leash. She pulls a bit strong on walks and would benefit from continued training with someone who enjoys working with an energetic, eager dog. Energy levels are fairly high, so walks and runs are great for her. She attends Bergen Bark doggy daycare. She's very fun!

Story
Harley is a 4 yr old female GSP mixed. She is very energetic and loves attention. We moved from a home with land into an apartment & she needs more room to run and play. She is a bit aggressive with certain types of dogs but she loves to run and hunt. Hoping she can be rehoused to someone who has land and can be active with her.

Story
MEET OPAL - YOUR OUTDOOR ADVENTURE PARTNER AND SNUGGLE COMPANION! Well folks, as they say, "the eyes have it!"  This sweet 5-year-old girl is on the hunt for her forever home, bringing stunning blue eyes and a wagging tail along for the ride. Consider yourself warned: that tail wag means walk time, and she will hold you to it! Opal loves sunning herself outside, rolling dramatically in the grass, and hitting the trails for walks, jogs, and hikes. She's also a self-appointed, Yard Security Officer, ensuring you remain safe from any nefarious squirrel or bunny that may dare set foot on her home turf.  Inside the home, Opal will masterfully demonstrate the art of slowly inching across the couch until she's in your lap — and honestly, you'll let her, because ear scratches are her love language. Opal is a dream on the leash, making outings a pleasure.  She knows basic commands including, "sit, touch, and paw (yes, she gives high-fives)." She gets along well with most male dogs and smaller, female dogs.  Her energy and desire to please will have her blend in to most active families, but she can be suspect of more chaotic environments that may be associated with little people, so children over the age of 10 are recommended for that reason (typical cattle dog trait). Opal is fully house trained (no accidents since puppyhood) and is completely trustworthy with free roam while you are away from home (no crate needed),  Her beautiful short coat renders her a very light shedder and she is a professional and courteous car rider.  Her DNA is a proud blend of Supermutt (with identifiable parts of GSP and Cattle Dog), which lends credence to both her charm and love of outdoor adventures. Opal is waiting to meet you - please complete an application to start your next adventure today! ##2712415##

Story
Penny, German Shorthaired Pointer/Heeler, 4yrs. 50lbs. Penny is a sweetheart with a gentle, loving personality and lots of energy. She absolutely loves being around people and will happily stay by your side all day. Once she’s had plenty of exercise and playtime, she’s the best cuddle buddy for a relaxing evening at home. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves to play. We’ve boarded her at doggy daycare many times while traveling and have never had any issues. Penny loves chasing balls, long walks, exploring the woods, chew toys, chicken treats, carrots, watermelon, and even watching old westerns with her family. There’s not much she doesn’t enjoy besides bath time and being left alone for long periods. She truly is an incredible companion and rehoming her is heartbreaking for us. We simply want her to have the time, attention, and freedom she deserves to live her happiest life. Courtesy listing. Call Cindy 970-353-1385

Story
Charlie, Lab/German Shorthaired Pointer, 2 yrs. 65 lbs. Charlie is a great dog that has found himself homeless. His owner is going to memory care and no one in the family will take him. He is good on a leash and on car rides. He seems to be good with other dogs so we are looking for a home with someone home most of the time or that has another dog for him to hang out with. Charlie is loyal and comes in queue. Courtesy listing. Call Cindy 970-353-1385

Story
He's about one year old and he loves to chase his tail to impress you. He's very energetic and loves to run but as long as he doesn't have to fight for attention with other pets he's super sweet and likes to lay with you on the couch. He gets along with other dogs but can push the playing too far and then gets aggressive. He is food aggressive with other dogs as well. He's an eater and needs something to slow him down. Over all, besides barking, he's a good boy he just needs to be in his own setting with no other dogs.
