What we know: Single female surrendered by a local family at 3.5 months old. Puppy was originally adopted from Blues City Animal Rescue in Memphis, TN but was too high energy. CPR contacted the previous rescue to notify them we had their dog, they shared they were aware of the situation and had arranged a return transport at a later date but would be happy to have her adopted out of CPR and avoid the travel. Came with the name "Daisy."
**This puppy requires a fenced-in yard.**
From the foster: If you're looking for the sweetest, smartest best friend, Nauti is your girl! She has quickly become one of those puppies that steals everyone's heart.
Nauti loves adventures! She enjoys going for walks and is doing great on a leash. She does get excited when she spots bunnies on walks, so she'll do best with a confident leash handler who can continue helping her practice good leash manners. Every dog she meets is an instant friend, and she absolutely loves to play. Despite her playful side, she's also a calm, affectionate pup who simply wants to be close to her people. She'll happily follow you from room to room before curling up at your feet for a nap.
Her name couldn't fit her better—Nauti (like nautical) is obsessed with water! Sprinklers, wet patios, running water... if it's splashing, she's there having the time of her life.
She's fully house-trained with zero accidents and is crate-trained. She may give a few little whines when she's first tucked in, but as long as she knows you're nearby, she'll settle down and sleep through the night.
Like any growing puppy, Nauti is very much in her teething stage. She loves carrying around stuffed animals and is learning which toys are hers and which ones belong to the kids. With plenty of appropriate chew toys and a little redirection, she's eager to learn.
Nauti has the cutest oversized paws that she's still growing into! She's incredibly smart and picks up new things quickly. Right now, she's working on keeping all four paws on the ground instead of jumping up when she's excited. Because she's still a big, enthusiastic puppy, she can accidentally knock over little ones. She's been doing well with my 5 and 7 year old, but her excitement has sent them tumbling a time or two, so she'd likely be the best fit for a family with older children or younger kids who are confident and steady on their feet.
A few of Nauti's favorite things include food toppers, her WOOF Honest Chew antler, stuffed animals, belly rubs, and anything involving water.
If you're looking for a playful adventure buddy who's equally happy cuddling by your side, come meet Nauti—you just might find your new best friend! 🩵🐾
