HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED PERRY! Please meet Perry, a 4 year old handsome mixed breed boy (possible combination of GSP and Bluetick Coonhound), weighing in at +\-50 pounds. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Perry's zest for life is evident in his love for play. Whether it's a game of fetch or playtime in the yard, Perry's enthusiasm is infectious!  Perry's dedication to training is remarkable. He has an impressive grasp of basic obedience commands such as "sit," "down," "stay," and "heel." He also understands the "place" command, showcasing his intelligence and eagerness to learn. His training progress is a testament to his willingness to please and his adaptability to new situations. Perry is both crate trained and fully house trained. Perry LOVES his person (or people). He is a relationship driven dog that will bond tightly with his caretaker(s). He loves to engage in play and share mental and physical stimulation inside and outside his residence.  Perry is a very well behaved gentleman out in public, having socialized well with people and other dogs of all sizes in a variety of situations/environments. However, inside his home, the sudden movements of younger children can tend to make Perry nervous, and as such, older children (12+) are recommended to reside with Perry in his home. That being said, Perry is perfectly fine and content to utilize his crate in situations where young ones may be temporary visitors. Perry enjoys the companionship of other dogs, provided they are introduced properly and will respect his boundaries. He is able to participate in playgroups with others; however, Perry's primary interest and focus is his person (or people), which also makes him a great candidate as a solo dog in a new home. Perry has a unique vocal talent - the "hound" howl. However, this distinctive trait only surfaces when he feels bored, adding a touch of character to his already charming personality! To ensure Perry thrives, he should be placed in a loving home with plenty of room for him to run and play. He's an active dog who relishes outdoor adventures. Most importantly, Perry deserves a home that will shower him with boundless love and affection, just as he wholeheartedly gives in return. If you're seeking a loyal, playful, and loving companion who will bring endless joy to your life, Perry could be the perfect addition to your family. Don't delay in completing an application to meet the handsome Perry today! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter 3 Puppy combo shots (Distemper/Parvo) Bordetella Micro-chip Rabies De-worming ##1282577##

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Transferred from Espanola Humane in Espanola, NM at approximately 2.5 months old, single puppy with no littermates, fixed. Came with the name "Wes". From the foster: Enter Biggie Smalls (look at the size of those paws): a brindle-coated bundle of joyous energy in search of a loving forever home. "Playful Puppy" just barely scratches the surface for this little guy. He leaps, he bounds, he pounces and prances with all the confidence in the world. There's not a shy or timid bone in his body. Just let out your best puppy call, and he'll come racing over full of infectious enthusiasm and endless kisses... and maybe a quick cuddle if you catch him during a period of calm. He’s been following our older pup everywhere like, we'll, a puppy... learning the ropes of house & yard life. She’s shown him a few wrestling moves and the finer points of tug-of-war, and he’s soaking it all up intently. Our first harness-and-leash experience started as a bit of an adventure. He wasn’t too sure at first, but once he discovered the wonders awaiting beyond our gate, he was all in. Indoors, he’s learning what’s fair game to play with. He's been happily swapping a slipper or sock (that shouldn't have been left out in the first place because... puppy) for a proper toy and some affection. He needs some help learning to use the outdoor bathroom, but, like a lot of these pups who have spent most of their lives in a shelter, it seems to be just because he hasn't had that potty training yet, not because he can't or won't do it. Having Biggie in our home has been a treat. We highly recommend you meet him in person, take a long look at those ginormous paws and beautiful coat and just *try* not to fall in love. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
