HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED PERRY! Please meet Perry, a 4 year old handsome mixed breed boy (possible combination of GSP and Bluetick Coonhound), weighing in at +\-50 pounds. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Perry's zest for life is evident in his love for play. Whether it's a game of fetch or playtime in the yard, Perry's enthusiasm is infectious!  Perry's dedication to training is remarkable. He has an impressive grasp of basic obedience commands such as "sit," "down," "stay," and "heel." He also understands the "place" command, showcasing his intelligence and eagerness to learn. His training progress is a testament to his willingness to please and his adaptability to new situations. Perry is both crate trained and fully house trained. Perry LOVES his person (or people). He is a relationship driven dog that will bond tightly with his caretaker(s). He loves to engage in play and share mental and physical stimulation inside and outside his residence.  Perry is a very well behaved gentleman out in public, having socialized well with people and other dogs of all sizes in a variety of situations/environments. However, inside his home, the sudden movements of younger children can tend to make Perry nervous, and as such, older children (12+) are recommended to reside with Perry in his home. That being said, Perry is perfectly fine and content to utilize his crate in situations where young ones may be temporary visitors. Perry enjoys the companionship of other dogs, provided they are introduced properly and will respect his boundaries. He is able to participate in playgroups with others; however, Perry's primary interest and focus is his person (or people), which also makes him a great candidate as a solo dog in a new home. Perry has a unique vocal talent - the "hound" howl. However, this distinctive trait only surfaces when he feels bored, adding a touch of character to his already charming personality! To ensure Perry thrives, he should be placed in a loving home with plenty of room for him to run and play. He's an active dog who relishes outdoor adventures. Most importantly, Perry deserves a home that will shower him with boundless love and affection, just as he wholeheartedly gives in return. If you're seeking a loyal, playful, and loving companion who will bring endless joy to your life, Perry could be the perfect addition to your family. Don't delay in completing an application to meet the handsome Perry today! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter 3 Puppy combo shots (Distemper/Parvo) Bordetella Micro-chip Rabies De-worming ##1282577##

Story
Meet Princess — a 6-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer with tippy-tappy toes, a wiggly tail, and a heart full of love! Weighing in at 34 pounds, this adorable spotted sweetheart is the perfect mix of goofy puppy energy and sweet, snuggly affection. Princess was surrendered by her previous owner for being a little too curious about the family peacock (what can we say — she’s a bird dog at heart!). But she’s proven herself to be a friendly, social girl who loves people and gets along great with other dogs. This sweet, food-motivated pup already knows how to sit and is eager to learn more with a bit of patience and consistency. She’s working on her jumping manners — she just gets so excited to see her favorite humans that she can’t help but bounce with joy! When she’s happy, her little feet do the cutest tippy-tappy dance, and she flashes the biggest smile that could brighten anyone’s day. Princess has a naturally playful, curious, and active personality — the kind that thrives in a home where she can stretch her legs, play with other dogs, and go on adventures. Whether she’s romping around in the yard, practicing her obedience, or cuddling up after a fun day, this silly girl is always ready to share her love. She may be a Princess, but she’s not high maintenance — just a sweet young pointer who needs a family willing to give her time, patience, and plenty of treats as she grows into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. With her wagging tail, silly smile, and gentle spirit, Princess is ready to rule your heart and make every day feel a little brighter.  Princess was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico.  They will be available to meet starting 12/13! Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  ##2594485##

Story
Grace is a sweet puppy who absolutely loves belly rubs, cuddling, and nuzzling in close for some head scratches. She can be a little timid in new environments, but her playful (and wiggly!) side is starting to come out.  She loves to play with her toys, chase squirrels, and just generally be around the people she loves. No matter the time of day, she will cuddle right up next to you (or on you) any chance she gets.  She’s potty trained and crate trained. She’s still working on making it through the night in her crate without a potty break, but she will whine to let you know when she needs to go out. She will also hop right into her crate and settle in quickly (day or night). She’s still working on her leash manners, but she’s excited to sniff around and be with you. She also knows sit and is working on her other commands as she gets more comfortable.  She’s still sensitive to new people and new dogs, but it’s clear that she has a lot of love to give and will make a loyal companion. She would do best in a home that can give her plenty of activity to stimulate her mind and help her continue to grow. ##2537496##
