Story
Meet Kip – A Sweet, Snuggly Pup with a Big Heart (and a Brave Spirit!) Kip is as cute as they come and has the sweetest soul to match. This handsome young pup absolutely adores being around his people—cuddles, belly rubs, and quality time are high on his list of favorite things. He's also a big fan of snacks (who isn't?), which makes him extra motivated to learn and bond. Kip is 1.5 years old and weighs 86 pounds. He is potty-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. He'd love a home with another dog to keep him company, a yard to romp around in, and plenty of toys and chew bones to keep him happy. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a truly special pup, Kip will reward you with a lifetime of love, loyalty, and snuggles. Story
Goose is a sweet, loving, playful, and very energetic dog. He loves being around his people, getting attention, playing, and being included in whatever the family is doing. He has a big personality and can be goofy and affectionate. He is very strong and has a lot of energy, so he needs an active family who can give him plenty of exercise, structure, training, and attention. He can be stubborn at times and is still working on his manners and boundaries. Recently, he has shown some resource-guarding behavior around his food/water, so he would benefit from an experienced owner who understands dog behavior and is willing to continue positive, consistent training. We want to find Goose a home where he can thrive and receive the time, structure, and attention he needs.

Story
Meet Darla — your future best friend, cuddle buddy, and little shadow! 🐾❤ï¸Â Darla is about 1 year old and 27 pounds, and after having the chance to really get to know her in foster care, I can tell you that this girl has a HUGE personality packed into her little body. Darla absolutely LOVES people. She wants to say hello to everyone she meets — and preferably to everyone at the same time! 😂 She is incredibly affectionate, loves attention, and is happiest when she can be right next to her people. Whether she’s following you around the house, asking for pets, or curling up beside you, Darla just wants to be included in whatever you’re doing. She’s also a silly, energetic young dog who loves to explore and be part of the action. Darla can sometimes have a hard time focusing when there’s a lot going on around her. She is curious, easily distracted, and has a tendency to bounce from one thing to another — basically, she has a little bit of “dog ADHD.” 😂 It’s one of the things that makes her so funny and full of personality. She does best with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Darla is crate trained and leash trained, and she is perfectly comfortable sleeping in her crate at night. She is still working on potty training. When she gets outside often enough, she does well and will potty outside. She has also gotten really good about not pooping inside, but she still has enough pee accidents indoors that we wouldn’t consider her fully potty trained yet. Her new family will need to continue working with her and keep a consistent routine. Darla has some other little quirks that make her uniquely Darla. Her eyes don't always focus normally, but there is nothing wrong with her eyes, and it does not prevent her from seeing, playing, exploring, or enjoying life. It’s simply something you may notice about her. She also has a hilarious habit of coming over for wet kisses immediately after drinking water. Expect a wet nose, wet whiskers, and a soggy little face coming straight for you! 😂 Darla does well with other dogs and kids and loves having canine friends. She would likely enjoy a playful dog in her forever home, especially one who can help her burn off some of that young-dog energy. We are still working on cats. Darla is not aggressive toward them, but she does like to chase them. Because of that, she will need continued training, supervision, and appropriate introductions around cats. A home without cats may be the easiest fit for her, but her foster family is continuing to work with her. Darla came from the Mesquite Animal Shelter and has really blossomed in foster care. The more time I spend with her, the more her goofy, affectionate personality comes out. She is energetic without being all go-go-go, incredibly loving, and just wants to be someone's girl. She isn't perfect — but honestly, that's part of what makes her so lovable. ❤ï¸Â She is still learning, still growing, and still figuring out how to be the best dog she can be. What she already knows how to do exceptionally well is LOVE her people. Darla is looking for a forever family who will be patient with her, continue helping her learn, give her plenty of love and attention, and appreciate all of the goofy little things that make her Darla. Story
I received Tucker back in 2017 when he was just 8 weeks old. Tucker has been a great friend. My family describes him as just another human because he acts like a kid and just follows you around wanting to be involved and shown some love. Tucker is house trained, up to date on shots, takes preventative heart worm and flea and tick medication. Listens to commands. He does have some reactive behavior towards other dogs.

Story
Pepper is approximately 4 Months old and weighs 25 pounds. She will probably be about 50-55 pounds when grown. She is easy to work with and a complete love-bug. Pepper does well on the leash and she goes on a daily walk with one of our other dogs. Pepper has been excellent with feeding, potty training, and crate training. Pepper seems to do well on short car rides. She currently lives with 3 other dogs and gets along well with them. Pepper is friendly but she is shy with new people. She would do well with a family with older children that have been exposed to dogs and knows how to be gentle. Pepper is leash, house and crate trained. She has not been in a home with cats so we don't know how she would react to one. Overall, Pepper is just an awesome, pretty chill dog. She loves her belly rubs and being pet (her fur is so soft). She loves to play with her toys, she loves playing and napping with the other dogs.
