Story
Greta is a sweet, friendly German Shorthaired Pointer with tons of personality. She will be 9 years old in December, but she still has the energy of a puppy! She is great with kids. She can at times be aggressive when she meets a new dog if that dog wants to "play fight". We have two small children that love her, but the time required for raising the children doesn't leave us with the proper amount of time to give her the exercise she needs - GSP's are a high-energy breed.

Story
Nori was named for the name in Hebrew meaning "Light". She was tied up to an old truck in the Rio Grande Valley .She was adopted but given away and now we have her.  She is about 2.5 years old and weighs about 25 lbs.  She is such a doll. She is a sweet, petite, very unique young dog.  She is fully grown \!  She is a mini - she kind of looks like a Mini English Coonhound perhaps?  We don't know for sure but we do know she is adorable!    She is wonderful with other dogs and children and has a happy demeanor.  She has  gentle dispositio and desire to find her forever - human to follow around, cuddle and devote her love to for the rest of her life  Nori knows basic commands like sit and lie down, and also knows simple phrases such as "want to go potty?". "Want a bone?" She is potty trained.  As with any rescue, she will need time to adopt to her new home. She loves to do zoomies and would love a playmate!  Nori can be shy when meeting new people but never, ever aggressive and warms up super quick.  She just take a few minutes to relax.    She also loves a boy thrown or a toy to play with her owner.  Her favorite activity is playing with other dogs though.  She would love doggy day care too.  She's calm and well behaved and loves car rides.  We are looking for a forever home with someone home more than not She will be good with older children instead of toddlers only because she has never been around any.   She is light heartworm positive and we are treating her.Applications to foster or adopt Nori are at codysfriendsrescue.org ##2345154##

Story
Meet Kip – A Sweet, Snuggly Pup with a Big Heart (and a Brave Spirit!) Kip is as cute as they come and has the sweetest soul to match. This handsome young pup absolutely adores being around his people—cuddles, belly rubs, and quality time are high on his list of favorite things. He's also a big fan of snacks (who isn't?), which makes him extra motivated to learn and bond. Kip is 1.5 years old and weighs 86 pounds. He is potty-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. He'd love a home with another dog to keep him company, a yard to romp around in, and plenty of toys and chew bones to keep him happy. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a truly special pup, Kip will reward you with a lifetime of love, loyalty, and snuggles. Story
Luna is a 5 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix She weighs about 50 pounds and is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on leash. She has grown up with kids and is gentle with all ages and loves to give kisses. She loves squeaky toys and snuggles and playing in the backyard to keep an eye on the squirrels! She is highly trainable and super eager to please. Luna was born deaf but was taught hand commands from age 5 months. She responds well to visual cues and is eager to learn more. Deaf dogs are just like regular dogs, you simply communicate with them a little differently! If Luna sounds like the perfect addition to your family but you are worried about her being deaf don't be! We will include sessions with our trainer for any interested family to help make the transition super easy! Luna either needs to be an only dog (as being deaf other dogs can startle her) or potentially with a calm male dog. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Meet Demi, a charming 4-year-old Heeler mix who is eager to find her perfect forever home. Demi is a wonderful companion with a gentle spirit and a playful heart, and she is ready to share her love with the right family. Demi is dog-friendly with proper introductions and has a special knack for helping other dogs come out of their shells, showcasing her nurturing side. She is crate trained and enjoys the safety of her crate, especially during thunderstorms, where she finds comfort. Demi walks beautifully on a leash and loves to engage in games of chase, whether she's the one chasing or being chased. With a personality akin to an introvert, Demi thrives with structure and boundaries, which help her feel safe and build trust with her humans. She has a low to medium energy level, making her easy to be around, while her great pack drive allows her to form strong bonds with her family. Although she is friendly and listens well, she takes her time to warm up to strangers, which adds to her endearing nature. Demi is playful and has a sweet demeanor, always eager to partake in life's adventures. She loves the great outdoors, especially hiking and exploring new environments. Additionally, she is treadmill trained, providing an excellent outlet on extra hot or cold days. Demi would do best in a quieter home with older children who can respect her gentle nature and allow her the space to thrive. If you're looking for a loving, playful companion who brings joy and stability, Demi could be the perfect addition to your family!
