Story
Meet Kip – A Sweet, Snuggly Pup with a Big Heart (and a Brave Spirit!) Kip is as cute as they come and has the sweetest soul to match. This handsome young pup absolutely adores being around his people—cuddles, belly rubs, and quality time are high on his list of favorite things. He's also a big fan of snacks (who isn't?), which makes him extra motivated to learn and bond. Kip is already potty-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. He'd love a home with another dog to keep him company, a yard to romp around in, and plenty of toys and chew bones to keep him happy. Kip is preparing for leg surgery in the coming months, and while he has a road to recovery ahead, he's facing it with tail wags and bravery. TSDP will cover all medical expenses during this process—all he needs is a compassionate adopter or foster-to-adopt home willing to offer stability, love, and a little extra patience as he heals and regains his strength. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a truly special pup and be part of his healing journey, Kip will reward you with a lifetime of love, loyalty, and snuggles. We rescued this dog, he was hanging around a grocery store in East, Texas. At the time we had land and a large home with no pet restrictions. We moved to the city and the house we have now has pet restrictions. This young little guy is full of energy, happy, playful and disciplined. He can be a bit hyper but just needs someone to play with him. He is house trained, he can sit and shake and is being groomed for greatness.

Story
Petey walked onto a property in the country one day and let everybody know that he was not just visiting, but really intended to stay. This would have been perfectly fine with the human residents, but they want Petey to have the best possible life and felt this high energy young man needed to have someone younger than they are. GSP's are wonderful dogs who are very lovable and loving and are very trainable. They do have a high energy level and usually a strong prey drive. Training is definitely a must. They will reward you with unconditional love and loyalty.

Story
Luna is a 5 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix She weighs about 50 pounds and is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on leash. She has grown up with kids and is gentle with all ages and loves to give kisses. She loves squeaky toys and snuggles and playing in the backyard to keep an eye on the squirrels! She is highly trainable and super eager to please. Luna was born deaf but was taught hand commands from age 5 months. She responds well to visual cues and is eager to learn more. Deaf dogs are just like regular dogs, you simply communicate with them a little differently! If Luna sounds like the perfect addition to your family but you are worried about her being deaf don't be! We will include sessions with our trainer for any interested family to help make the transition super easy! Luna either needs to be an only dog (as being deaf other dogs can startle her) or potentially with a calm male dog. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Meet Demi, a charming 4-year-old Heeler mix who is eager to find her perfect forever home. Demi is a wonderful companion with a gentle spirit and a playful heart, and she is ready to share her love with the right family. Demi is dog-friendly with proper introductions and has a special knack for helping other dogs come out of their shells, showcasing her nurturing side. She is crate trained and enjoys the safety of her crate, especially during thunderstorms, where she finds comfort. Demi walks beautifully on a leash and loves to engage in games of chase, whether she's the one chasing or being chased. With a personality akin to an introvert, Demi thrives with structure and boundaries, which help her feel safe and build trust with her humans. She has a low to medium energy level, making her easy to be around, while her great pack drive allows her to form strong bonds with her family. Although she is friendly and listens well, she takes her time to warm up to strangers, which adds to her endearing nature. Demi is playful and has a sweet demeanor, always eager to partake in life's adventures. She loves the great outdoors, especially hiking and exploring new environments. Additionally, she is treadmill trained, providing an excellent outlet on extra hot or cold days. Demi would do best in a quieter home with older children who can respect her gentle nature and allow her the space to thrive. If you're looking for a loving, playful companion who brings joy and stability, Demi could be the perfect addition to your family!
