Story
Hank is a super sweet and goofy boy. He was found as a stray in the country, just trying to survive on his own. People were very mean to him when he would come around looking for food.  Because of this, he is very shy/nervous in new places and around new people, but non aggressive.   Once you win him over, he will give you his entire heart.  He is extremely loving and affectionate, quite the big baby. Hank is loyal, and goofy.  He loves to play and loves adventure. His smile as is big as Texas and his little under bite is one of the cutest things you'll see! He would do best in a low traffic home. He has been fostered with a small (very dog experienced) child and is great, but he is a bit hyper and clumsy at times and can accidentally knock a small child down, (he's 80lbs), so he would do best with older children.  He would thrive in a home with another dog to play with in a big back yard, but does require slow introductions as he is wary of new dogs at first.  He is rambunctious with his dog friends and needs a friend that tolerate his ruff house play!  He has been with other dogs ranging from 15-65lbs.  Hank does well with non confrontational cats! Hank has a (back) foot deformity.  We do not know if it was a birth defect or if something happened to him, but he only has one toe on his back foot, which contributes some to his clumsiness.  He has been on glucosamine and joint supplements his entire time in rescue and it is recommended he stays on them his entire life to prevent early arthritis because of his foot.  It is not expensive and can be bought over the counter. Story
Copper is a fantastic buddy that loves his people. He loves watching for squirrels and protecting the yard! Copper adores his “stuffies” and loves to do zoomies with them. Copper would also prefer a home without children. He enjoys a brisk walk, know how to sit and shake and loves to howl when he hears any siren! Copper has a good amount of energy, but also loves to relax with his humans. Soft plush blankets are his favorite, and he can barely wait for you to lay them out before he tries and snuggles in. Copper can be choosy about other dogs, but has lived with a large and small dog with success! If you are looking for a devoted companion, Copper is the guy for you. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Copper is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.September 1, 2024, 12:17 am

Story
Milo came all the way from a Border town in Mexico.  Very few get out and he was so scared we just had to save him.  He was a small boy = weighing only 34 lbs, but has gained healthy weight and is now up to 55lbs.  He was shut down completely when we got him.  Now that he is in a foster home he is doing so much better. He loves to play with other dogs, both big and small, and would do best with another dog to make him feel confident.  He is adorable, sweet, and cuddly. He is also cat friendly. Because of his fear we think he would be best with older children if any.  Toddlers would scare him with quick movements most likely. He is a big cuddler too when he knows you. He is house trained as well. codys_adoption_application. ##1111626##
