Name: Polo         Best Guess for Breed: German shorthaired pointer mix Best Guess for Age: 1.5 years as of September 2025       SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight: 53 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Polo is Looking For:  Adventure! Polo looks like a mix but take it from us - that dog is a prime example of the sporting breed - German Shorthaired Pointers. Keen nose, high intelligence, and boundless energy - check, check, and check! He's up for plenty of mental and physical enrichment - advanced agility training, nosework, lots of running in parks, or lots of of long excursions out in nature or any combination thereof will make Polo a happy, tired dog. AND all those will help bond Polo and his humans intensely while having so much fun. He and his forever family will be very lucky to have each other!  What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once he has spent time in foster care Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Hi there! I’m Bruno, a 3.5-year-old mix-breed, which means I’m equal parts adventure-sniffer and cuddle pro. I’m a sweet, loyal guy who adores my humans and loves being part of everything they do - walks, tennis ball chases, or couch snuggles. I’m a smart, affectionate guy who loves a good routine, and my brain works extra hard for any treats! I'm also house-trained, and crate-trained. Mostly, I just want to be near my people and love them endlessly. I can sometimes be unsure of new faces and furry friends, but with a good, slow introduction and my ongoing training, I’ve really enjoyed making new friends. I'm ready to bring my best, well-behaved self to my next adventure! I’d thrive in a calm, adult-only home as the only pet with a patient, confident person who believes in positive reinforcement. In return, I’ll fill your home with joy, wags, and the best snuggles ever. Insta: @big.head.little.legs
