I met Stevie after seeing a post on Nextdoor. The meeting with my dog and Stevie went wellso I was allowed to bring him home to spend the night and meet my husband. I was not told that Stevie was not good with cats. We have my daughter’s cat and Stevie was very excited when he saw the cat. When I called his foster to let her know that as wonderful as Stevie is, it was not a match, she told me she could not take him back and said he would have to take Stevie to a shelter. I could not do that so I decided to foster him and try to find him a good home. I am having surgery at the end of June. I will meet people who are sincerely wanting to Give him a forever home. Contact me for more information. He is a beautiful, loving, smart dog! He was neglected and abandoned but he still loves people. He is healthy, neutered, up to dateon shots, a fast learner and eager to please.

This distinguished gentleman is Garfunkel! He arrived at the shelter as a lost dog on 4/10 along with his bestie, Simon. Sadly, no one has come to reclaim them. Upon arrival they were very anxious and unsure of their surroundings, but they're starting to adjust. It is evident that they find comfort and support in each other's presence. The volunteers describe both boys as friendly and easy to handle on leash. They both love treats and will sit nicely to accept them! Garfunkel is approximately 8 years old, and weighs 43 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Garfunkel in kennel 874; his ID # is 18132. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. My human parents own both of them! I am a perfect blend of their personalities.I was apart of an "oops" litter of 8. My parents named me Bat Man because the white patch on my chest looks like the Bat Man symbol. I am very sweet and loving, extremely intelligent and a fast learner. I am an excellent listener, can follow simple commands and do well with puppy pads. I am affectionate and love back scratches.
