Mary Jo is a female, 56ish lb, beautiful Golden Retriever who came in with Little Girl. We have learned that Mary Jo needs to be the only dog in the home. We will update as we learn more.  We are told "What a beautiful and sweet reddish golden MJ is! She loves to be held and petted and she has a calm demeanor and doesn't jump up on you." He's an incredibly loving dog. He is two and a half years old. He's house-trained. He loves playing with his toys; you throw them and he fetches them. He has a lot of energy and loves to play. He doesn't like being alone. If you don't want him to do something, tell him, but don't yell at him because he won't understand. I'm really looking for someone who's willing to love him because he's so incredibly loving.

 Tucker is a 1.5 year old, 70ish lb, male cream Golden Retriever looking for a very specific type of family. He is a handsome dude, but he is very high energy and will need to be the only dog in the home. "For Tucker, we are looking for a person or family that is strong and active, home more than the typical working individual, has an above ground fenced yard, no other dogs, and someone who will commit to training and exercise. He has also never been around kids and he does jump on people so no kids under twelve yrs old. Experienced dog people would be best for Tucker since he is very active. Tucker has also been to doggie day care 3 days a week to help with his energy outlet, but if a family adopts him and is committed to plenty of daily activity and exercise, day care may not be as important." He needs to be the only dog as "He is in a multi dog house now, and has developed behavior that is difficult to control in that environment. He seems to be favoring one of the other dogs and guarding him from the other dogs." Tucker is house-trained and crate-trained, but does not use the crate anymore. He is trustworthy when left alone and sleeps In the bedroom, but usually likes to stay on the floor or on the bathroom tile. Tucker's new home will need to be committed to giving him plenty of exercise and direction to keep him happy, as a tired dog is a good dog! Yoshiro is a 5.5 year old, 90ish lb male Golden Retriever being surrendered as his family says: "Yoshiro has been a valued member of our family for last 5+ yrs but our family is growing soon (from 1 kid to 2 later this yr) and we are afraid he won't get enough attention and care. With utmost sadness, we made a decision to help find him a new home where he can flourish and get all the love & care." With that, he is a super sweet and well loved boy who is house-trained and crate-trained but has not used the crate in years. He is trustworthy in the home and sleeps on his bed or the sofa or wherever he is happiest. He needs a family who has the time to devote to giving Yoshiro the daily exercise outlets he needs. He is said to get along with other dogs. This boy will make a fabulous addition to any family seeking a fun loving boy looking for love! Jet is a 4.5 year old, 70ish lb, male Golden Retriever who came to GRRAND mid-March 2025. looking for a home where he is the only dog, no cats and no kids under the age of 16. His family has made the very hard decision to re-home Jet as his resource guarding is a concern with kids around for fear of the unknown. He displayed resource guarding behaviours and has been with a behaviorist since intake. We are now ready to provide more training for Jet once we have an experienced dog owner home willing to work with the trainer and Jet. However, he is able to safely participate in structured daycare settings and supervised dog meetups, provided no toys or high-value resources are present. Jett is a dog who requires clear structure, consistency, and informed handling. With proper management and adherence to protocol, he is capable of living a stable, safe, and fulfilled life in the appropriate home. Our trainer will work with you to aid in a successful transition into your home. Jet is house-trained, crate-trained and usually went to work daily with his person, so he was not left home alone much. We are told "He has had obedience training and he knows all the basic commands and a few fun ones. Jet resource guards toys and we have tried numerous training for the resource guarding, but have had no luck. He is really chill and happy, and likes to run in the yard and smell around."
