Story
Sweetheart loving Golden Retriever. She loves to be outside but is house trained and crate trained, and does well everywhere. Reason for rehoming is she and our rescue dog are both alpha. She would do very well with other dogs as long as they weren't also alpha. She is a wonderful dog and it's heartbreaking we had to make this decision but we cannot keep them both. Would be more than happy to answers any/all questions and video chat/visit.

UPDATE - APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED FOR BRICK! We will NOT be processing any more apps for him as he has had an overwhelming 22 applications in just one day! If you’re still hoping to adopt, we have several other sweet Goldens waiting for their perfect match as well that are just as wonderful as Brick. Please let us know if you would like to have your application processed for another Golden with GRRAND or if he was the only one you were interested in, as our volunteers are VERY busy. Brick is a 15 week old, male Golden Retriever puppy at about 35lbs (for now). Brick’s story began with a well-meaning older couple who quickly realized that raising a puppy—especially this much puppy—was more than they had expected. Thankfully, GRRAND stepped in, giving this sweet boy the fresh start he so clearly deserves. Now thriving in his foster home, Brick is everything you love about a Golden Retriever—affectionate, playful, and full of joyful energy. He’s a big, lovable pup with oversized paws, a playful spirit, and a soft spot for toys (the more, the better). Brick is potty-trained, crate-trained, and gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats. He enjoys romping with his foster siblings, but when it’s time to unwind, he’s happiest curled up right beside you. Brick is smart, eager to please, and full of heart. He’s ready to find a forever family who will embrace his energy, enjoy his sweet nature, and love him every step of the way, so if you’re looking for a devoted companion with a happy-go-lucky personality, Brick is your boy! If you are interested in adopting Brick, please read below the GRRAND puppy guidelines before applying: **** Puppies are a lot of work, and if you are interested in Brick and have children, you should check out GRRAND policies page before you read further… In a nutshell, GRRAND policies stipulate a few important things that may stop you from applying  A: GRRAND will NOT place a puppy under the age of 6 months with families with children under 6 yrs old  B: Any applicant with children under the age of 16, will require a home with direct access to a securely fenced yard… so this means no apartments or condos Apartments and condos can also be tricky for adult only households, as puppies can be whiny and loud, and may make too much noise for the neighbors as well He will be looking for a home with a fenced in yard and a family with LOTS of time and patience to socialize and work with a puppy so he can grow up to be a good dog! Exercise and direction are a must for him as a tired puppy is a good puppy!! Puppies have boundless amounts of playful energy and need a constant outlet for it! Along with that wonderful puppy breath, comes those razor sharp puppy teeth too, so families must understand there needs to be constant supervision as  children need to learn to respect an animal and puppies need to learn boundaries.  If you feel you meet the GRRAND puppy guideline requirements, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2703757##

Story
Preacher is a 3 year old, 80ish lb handsome Golden boy looking for his forever family that has the time to give him the exercise and direction he needs to be a good boy. He was rescued from a person on the side of the road for $100 and he was then surrendered to GRRAND by that same person who could not keep him as she had him in an outdoor 10X10 pen, but she called Preacher a "magnificent specimen of a Golden Retriever." Preacher is now at the GRRAND kennel. Our GRRAND volunteer says: "Preacher is as handsome and Golden as they get. Wonderful temprament, curious, undemanding, affectionate. Loves the great outdoors and looking for a family who will take him on fun adventures."  We are still learning about Preacher, so please check back later, but if you would like to meet this guy to foster or adopt him, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org   ##2696396##

Story
Buddy Brown is a handsome 2 year old, Golden mix at about 84(ish) lbs that was dumped on a property where he can not stay. The family who found him tell GRRAND: "He's a very sweet loving animal who gets along with other dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits and he is very sweet with children. He is house-trained, but not crate-trained. He does bark sometimes especially warning if somebody's there, and he is a jumper which will need to be worked on, because he's a big dog. We don't know much about him due to being dropped off 4 months ago." UPDATE!!! Buddy is in a foster home and they say:  "Meet Buddy Brown!  Buddy Brown is the sweetest boy and made himself right at home the moment he arrived with his foster mom. He’s fully house-trained, has had no accidents, and can be trusted when left alone with no destruction. Buddy loves playing ball, going for walks, and curling up right next to you for pets. He truly thinks he’s a lap dog! He does get very excited at the start of walks and may pull on the leash for a few minutes, so he’ll do best with someone strong who can help continue his training. He enjoys zooming around the yard and would likely love a playful dog companion, though he may be a bit much for senior dogs or very small children. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate couch buddy, Buddy Brown might be YOUR perfect match!" We are still learning about Buddy Brown, so please check back later for more info, but if you would like to meet this guy, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2687268##

Story
Clifford is a handsome 8 month old, male Cream Golden at about 50ish lbs looking for his forever home at no fault of his own. He was surrendered to GRRAND as he was too much "puppy" for his owners and was left alone for way to many hours a day for a young puppy. He is crate-trained (sleeps in it at night) and house-trained and needs a home that is committed to giving him all of the exercise and direction he needs as an active puppy. GRRAND is recommending Clifford goes to a home with another young dog to play with, a secure fenced in yard and someone who is home… not working and gone all day.  Our GRRAND volunteers says:  "For being a young male dog, Clifford is remarkably calm and friendly - a truly sweet boy. He gets along very well with other dogs, is well behaved indoors, and loves time outdoors. Clifford is medium size and so very handsome. Clifford will be losing his winter coat soon but, at the moment, he isn't shedding much. Clifford knows his name and basic commands. I would say he is very trainable and that he would enjoy consistent training. He enjoys and plays excellently with other dogs - no agression at all even when another dog steals a ball or stick. Clifford does not jump up on you and will calmly walk towards you for pets." If you fit the needs for Clifford's new home, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2691432##
