This young female Golden is Ella Belle and she was acquired by someone who has been unable to provide consistent care, leaving the dog without food/water/shelter needs for extended periods of time or crated for 18hrs/day or longer. This pup is severely undernourished. She was covered in fleas and has no history of vet care.Ella is approx 45lbs, small frame red golden who is very sweet and friendly. She is in desperate need of quality care to get her up to a normal weight. She does know sit and walks on a leash but needs work, she is house-trained and she appears to be crate-trained. Ella is searching for food constantly and will counter surf. She seems to get along with other dogs (minimal exposure at this point) and she had 3 human siblings, ages 7-13, it is unknown how she is around younger children or cats. 1 year old Golden/Pyrenees/Staffie mixPatch is a 1 year old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix looking for his forever home. His owners got him as a very young puppy, but didn’t know at the time that Patch was going to grow up and like to go after the neighbor’s chickens. They share that he is super sweet with humans, but just doesn’t care for livestock so he would be better off living in the suburbs. Hope is a beautiful (10 year old) senior golden girl whose life has finally taken a turn toward safety and love. She came to us as an owner surrender after spending her years as a breeder dog—an incredibly heartbreaking start to life for such a gentle soul. She was bred until she was an older girl, and then simply discarded. But that painful chapter is now over and Hope is safe, warm, and deeply cared for with GRRAND, and from here forward, only comfort and kindness await her. She arrived on November 25 after meeting a GRRAND driver for transport from a rural Kentucky shelter. That shelter serves four counties and is overwhelmed by extreme overpopulation. Even coming from such a strained environment, Hope’s journey brought her to a place where she can finally rest, heal, and discover what it truly means to be loved. We are happy to say Hope is in a foster home and they say she is all but perfect! "Hope is a true velcro Golden. She is by her person's side every minute of the day. She craves attention. She loves walking around with one of her favorite toys in her mouth, and even likes playing a gentle game of tug.Hope gets on great with our other dogs, and loves to go for car rides and short walks. She is house broken and knows the sit command and is house-trained.... Ryder is a 6.5 year old male Golden Retriever weighing about 70ish lbs looking for his forever family at no fault of his own. We are told "Our dog is very loved. He is apart of our family and this is not an easy decision, but is what is best for Ryder. I have recently come into a new career and work long hours and have gone through a relationship separation so I no longer have the support to not only give him the care/attention he needs, but also the financial support needed. We believe he has some sort of a food allergy as he can have skin breakouts/flare-ups. He is the sweetest, happiest dog I have ever had, but his itching seems miserable. He gets hot spots (that I thoroughly care for by cleaning and using medicated sprays/ointments and medicated shampoos) and gets itchy paws. I believe that if his allergies were sorted out, he would have zero issues for most families. I have three young children that he loves to snuggle. He is a happy goofy well mannered dog. Knows his sit, stay, place, and heel. Loves doing treat training. During storms he just likes to be held or pet. Will start panting but doesn’t chew or urinate or anything like that. Just gets a bit close and snuggly." Ryder is house-trained and has full roam of the house when left alone and is truly a great dog. His family is making this hard decision as it is what they feel is best for Ryder. His new famiky will need to be committed to giving him the exercise and direction he needs and have the time to help him through his new home adjustments.
