Sunny is a 5 year old, male Golden Retriever weighing about 60ish lbs (he is said to need to gain a few lbs) being surrendered at no fault of his own as his person could not give him the care he properly needs due to financial strains.  Sunny is house-trained and crate-trained. He will go into his crate when he feels like it or on command and sleeps in it at night. We are told "He is extremely well trained and obedient. Know basic obedience (sit, stay, heel, easy, ect.) As well as tricks (lay down, paw, spin, touch, get toy, jump, can go through hoop, etc.) He is very high spirited with new people and places. However, with becoming familiar with people and places, he really chills out. He's great with cats, tries grooming them (GRRAND has NOT cat tested him), and with dogs too, though he doesn't know personal space and other dogs in the home would need to be ok with that. He loves affection and is incredibly sweet." Sunny likes to play ball and just enjoys the great outdoors and will make a great companion for a family who wants to have a fun pup to take places and do fun things with. Story
Buddy is an active 4 year old, male Golden Retriever weighing about 80ish lbs, who is being surrendered as he is too much for the senior dogs in his home. He is still very playful and full of energy, so his new home will need to have a dog that can keep up with his activity level. Buddy is house-trained and crate-trained and sleeps in it at night and while his people would be away. He will need work on leash manners as he has never really been made to walk on leash. This boy is said to be an escape artist, so his family will need to be committed to giving him the supervised exercise and direction he needs to be a good and tired boy.  Our GRRAND volunteer who hangs with Buddy in the field tells us: "There's a new Buddy in GRRAND and he is one amazing dog and a very handsome Golden Retriever. His fur has a fabulous sheen in the sunlight. Buddy wants to be your 'best buddy' as he enjoys sitting with you and being petted, but will also walk with you. Buddy is very proud of any ball he finds or catches and will show it off to anyone. This guy is a great dog and is ready for his forever home that will give him lots of activity and fun things to do together." Story
Tucker is a 6 year old, 70ish lb, male Golden Retriever who is being surrendered due to his family's situation changing and they can no longer take care of or meet Tucker's needs the way he deserves.  His prior family tells GRRAND: "Tucker is crate-trained and used to use it daily. He often would go in and chill even with the gate open. Now we don’t use it because we moved and have a small room that he uses as his space. He free roams while we are home but while we are out he is in his crate/room. He likes to be fed where he can be by himself as he is very guarded of his food." Tucker is said to have lived with a cat, but GRRAND has not cat tested him.  Our GRRAND volunteer who has spent time with Tucker tells us: "Tucker has arrived at GRRAND full of life, love, and enthusiasm! Tucker makes friends easily but will also give a bark to let you know he has an eye on what's going on around him. He has a lot of muscle and is athletic in build but he needs to lose a few lbs to get down to a healthy weight. Tucker is a beautiful reddish Golden Retriever with light color highlights. He will need consistent guidance and training to walk on a leash. Tucker is enthusiastically treat motivated and at the end of our walk around the field, he was happy to sit at (and on) my feet and watch the world go by." His new family will need to have the time and patience to help Tucker with his adjustments to his new surroundings and new family.
