Story
Hi! I'm Atlantis  I've been in foster care about three weeks now and foster mom thought I should provide some updates:   1. I LOVE other dogs and playing with them in the backyard is so much fun. My ideal home would have another dog and a yard. 2. There is one dog in my foster home who is not very playful and I'm very respectful and leave him alone.  3. New People are scary and I ignore them at first but eventually I warm up to them. I have even started cuddling with foster mom! 4. I'm working hard to be house broken and do very well on a schedule.  5. This is my first time living inside so I'm still learning what is considered a toy and what objects are foster mom's beloved possessions such as her couch cushions . I correct easily when she reminds me these are not toys. I am crated when foster mom isn't home to keep me safe. I go into my crate when asked and keep it clean.  6. Leashes make me pretty nervous but I'm learning whenever foster mom puts me on one we go somewhere fun!  7. There are some cats here and sometimes I ignore them and sometimes I bark at them but I never chase them.  8. Lastly, and most importantly, I love salami!!! It's my absolute favorite.    If I sound like a good fit and you'd like to meet me, please apply at adoptastray.comApril 2, 2025, 10:39 pm

Story
Meet Truffles! Truffles is an adorable & exuberant puppy with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. She has a genetic condition that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Meet Baylin – a 6-year-old Golden Doodle weighing 55 pounds who has overcome so much and is now ready to find her forever home! Baylin was rescued from a challenging past of living in an Amish Puppy Mill, where she lived in a kennel and had little human contact. Despite this, she is blossoming in her foster home and showing her true, loving nature. Baylin enjoys lounging on the cool tile floor and loves the company of other dogs, especially her fellow foster sibling, a Mini Poodle. She is crate trained and walks well on a leash, but her potty training is still a work in progress. Baylin is using puppy pads in the home and with time, she’ll continue to improve! One of Baylin’s favorite things is receiving gentle head scratches, which help her build confidence and trust. She is a sweet, calm girl who would do best with a patient person willing to continue helping her adjust to life outside of her past experience. If you’re looking for a loving dog who just needs a little extra care and understanding, Baylin could be the perfect fit. With patience and time, she’ll make a wonderful, loyal companion. Would you be the one to offer Baylin the love and stability she deserves? Baylin is fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, and her adoption fee is $450. Baylin is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Whitney is a very lovable 3-month-old, 15-pound Goldendoodle who is full of puppy energy. Whitney is the best at showing her affection to her people with sweet kisses. She never misses the chance to say I love you. She even goes in for the cutest little hug. Whitney is a typical puppy so house breaking, and leash training are a work in progress. She’s the very best of two breeds so these challenges won’t take long to perfect. She does sleep in her crate all night! Whitney loves running just as fast as she can in a securely fenced yard. Her foster home is quite full of furry siblings of all sizes and ages and she gets along wonderfully with them all. She has not been around cats. Whitney loves kiddos of all ages. If you are ready to raise a spunky puppy to fit right into your family, Whitney would make an excellent choice. Whitney is fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Meet Romy! Romy is a sweet and scruffy 1-year-old doodle mix on the hunt for her forever home. With a mini Goldendoodle mix for a dad and a lovable mutt for a mom, she’s got the best of both worlds — and at 40 pounds, she’s just the right size for cuddles, couch lounging, and everyday adventures. Playful and full of personality, Romy loves her toys — nylabones are a favorite for chewing, and she has a soft spot for plush toys with stuffing. When she’s not playing, you’ll find her relaxing in the oversized dog bed, surrounded by ALL of her toys, living her best life. She’s fully potty trained, sleeps soundly in her crate at night. Romy gets along with the other resident dogs, no matter their size or age. She’s working on her manners (keeping all four paws on the floor!) and improving her leash skills day by day. Her absolute favorite place? The backyard. Romy is happiest outdoors and would love a secure, fenced yard where she can run and explore to her heart’s content. She’s looking for a family who can match her energy and affection — a home where she can continue learning, growing, and sharing all the love she has to give. Think Romy might be your perfect match? She’s ready to bring joy, snuggles, and endless tail wags into your life! Romy is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $275.00.
