She is adorable and charming. This love bug is eager to find her forever home where she can be the center of attention. Meeka will thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention, which is why she would do best as the only pet in the household. While Meeka is incredibly loving and awesome, she prefers a calm and serene environment, making her not suitable for small children. So stop me if you have heard this one...... I was walking down the road, minding my own business when BAM! I was hit by a car!!! You haven't heard this one yet??? Well, sit back and relax and let me tell you my story of despair and hard work and now, REDEMPTION!!! Yes, I was literally minding my own business- I was searching for food, water and maybe some love in the mean streets... The car accident actually SAVED my life and now I am in my foster home and it is SO AWESOME!!! BUT, I have a forever home out there looking for a hard working, happy and SWEET fuzzy (a little gray)face and I am going to find you! I am such a good girl, smart and sweet and huggable. I have been through alot of recovery and am getting around great (see I was partially paralyzed for a month or two after the accident) but with the knowledge and love of my foster family I WALK again! I am pretty independent now and ready for the COUCH of my dreams! Look at my video and see how far I have come. I am great with other dogs, all people and for my safety sake would LOVE a KID OF MY OWN!! Born on the Island of Hawaii. His official name is Kalani's Mokulua Sunrise. MOKIE or MOKES for short. He is 4 years old (Birthday in Dec). A true English Cream Golden Retriever with a solid frame and beautiful and pleasing personality. He weighs right at 100lbs and is as gentle as they come. He loves the water, hiking and family time. He is excellent with children and all other pets. We also have a CORGI he was raised with. Following the birth of our second child (7 months ago), we struggled with giving MOKIE and HOWIE (Corgi) the time and attention they deserve and need. This is NOT an easy decision for us but we truly need them to be placed with an active family or individual that can make them a priority and give them the time and attention they deserve. 9 months old.  Grady & Gunner came to us as breeder surrenders.  They were not well socialized with people.  They are not mean, but they are shy/skittish with people and will take patience and TLC to acclimate to a new home and family.  They love other dogs.  They do not need to be adopted together. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sammy joined our rescue on March 13th as part of a seize case in our local township.  The police went to the property and found dogs and puppies living in a shed that was not heated and full of feces and urine. The owners were backyard breeders of golden retrievers.Sammy is currently 9 weeks old and weighs around 10 to 11 lbs.  He is a very sweet puppy and quite sociable!  His foster home consists of two older dogs that have no interest in playing with him, but he keeps himself busy playing with toys and being curious.  Sammy sleeps in a playpen at night and sleeps all night.  He is not house trained yet, but his foster mom is working with him.  His foster mom said he is a smart little puppy and catching onto training quickly!Sammy has received his first distemper/parvo vaccine, dewormed and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  His adoption fee is $450.  If you are interested in adopting Sammy, please submit an application on our website at https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org.  For any questions, please send an email to jessie.wilson@comcast.net.Thank you for your interest in a rescue dog! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 11, 2024, 6:46 am
